This product is an all-in-one surge protector and power saver. This unit allows you to program exactly when you want power going to your devices. Simple one-time set-up and you are ready to go!

Great device

I've had issues with my Broadband modem and the two wireless modems it supports - from overheating to a teenager using the Internet at 2 in the morning. Resolved all of that by using this surge protector with a timer. Shuts all 3 devices (and a printer, which kind of glowed all night long) down at night, brings them up in the morning before my coffee starts. A lot cheaper solution than buying a separate window A/C for the office, and easier than checking on the teenager early in the morning.

Surge Arrest and Timer

Not at all what I expected. I thought I could just plug this in to the wall, but you have to take the plate off the outlet and install it over the, or maybe instead of the outlet. I still haven't had the time or energy to mess with this to get the timer set up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. You should not have to remove the outlet cover in order to install the P4GC. If you remove the screw from the wall plate and replace it with the screw from the P4GC, the unit will sit on top of the wall cover. Surge Protection with a TIMER!

Great for parents with children that don't want to turn off the electronics. Provides four outlets with a programmable timer allowing you to control when devices are on or off which also helps to save power usage from electronics that are just sitting idle when not in use.
Pros: Ease of Management, Good Value, High Quality, Good Vendor Support, High Confidence Level in 24/7 Uptime

great addition to the office

I bought this APC unit to shutdown a couple PCs that were updating themselves in the middle of the night (and subsequently running the rest of the night) against my wishes. I looked at other products such as power distribution units and intelligent power strips but the costs of those were all way too high.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too complicated to set up. Build quality AS but takes a lot of time to read and set up.
