[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased and repurchased these over many years for the Holmes & Bionaire models they fit. I once tried a cheaper brand (Best Air)---it was thinner, didn't fully fit the holding brackets, and had to be cycled (replaced) more often. Holmes HWF100-UC3 really fit well, are thicker, and stronger. Moreover, they have a real retainer "button" (the "blue" button in the photo) and keeps them in place. vs a "hook" you insert for the cheaper brand (which can pull right out or hard to get in the right place.
Hollmes has, to their credit, made their filters competitive in cost when you consider how much better they are. Which is to say: Made for the Machines!

Every winter I have to introduce humidity into my home. It's time then to reorder 3 packs of of HWF100-UC3. They do the job every year. They are easy to refresh and last a long time. Great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product, the quality is good and the cost is great. I am so cheap about filters and the price is right. I always washed out the filters and make them last until I had to change them. My house is so dry in the winter and I have a older dusty house and with the price of these filters compared to the local stores I can change them as often as I need without having to wash the filters out. To save on shipping I order two yrs at a time. This year it was buy three get three FREE!! Two yrs for the price of one, who can beat that. ;~)

Humidifier gave an error msg that a new filter was needed. The machine would not work, therefore I purchased a package of 2 filters. Inserted the filters and the machine STILL did not work, nothing changed-still got the new filter error msg. TOSSED EVERYTHING OUT IN THE TRASH and will go with another company and model now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

These filters have to be frequently changed. My last humidifier which I had for several years had the same filter for the winter. These filters have already been changed twice.
