Love my Humifier and These Filters

Does not fit HM1100

In case you're wondering, this particular filter does not fit into the HM1100 Holmes Humidifier. The filter is too tall and so the unit does is not able to snap together unless I suppose you were to really jam it in and force the issue. In my case it was for a child's room so I didn't want to mess around…just wanted the right filter which is "HWF62" (without the added on "CS"). Why do these companies give us the run around trying to find these filters? I know…it will be more profitable for them when I let the perfectly good humidifier I have go sit in a landfill while I purchase a new humidifier that actually has available filters.

I was reading the other reviews. This filter perfectly fits humidifier model HM1280. I have been using this humidifier for about four years non stop all day long and all night long. And yes, you do have to change the filters regularly every month or every month and a half. That is how these types of humidifiers work. There is nothing so wrong with this product that is warrants only 2 stars. The only reason why I did not give the product and excellent rating is because I have had to design a timing system to keep the humidity at a constant level throughout the day/night allowing the humidifier to turn itself on when the humidity gets below a certain level.

Make shift filter arrived

I previously order one filter about 2 years ago. I moved and my humidifier was found in a box in the garage. I ordered 3 filters on 4/7/2020 and they arrived in a timeline manner. When I opened the box all 3 filters were smashed together in a small box like an accordion. I took the plastic off and removed one filter so I could form it into a circle. I was shocked when I seen thick white glue binding two pieces together to form a circle. All 3 filters arrived this way. However my old filter did not. I will be calling to understand what went wrong.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great humidifier

I have been using this humidifier for about 3 years. Yes, you do need to change the filter - just like you do your AC filters once a month. We use the humidifier at night when the kids are sick. Two things I do that extend the life of the filter: 1) use distilled water or from reverse osmosis filter 2) in the morning I empty out the water and allow the filter to air dry.
