Good machine - seccure cut size makes me feel very secure that the documents I have shred are properly shredded. It does a very good jo for a very low price.
On the down side, it is a noisy machine and when emptying the basket, the shredded pieces seem to go eveywhere.
I HAVE USED THE P-58CS AND HAVE FOUND IT TO BE A VERY USEFUL SHREDDER. AND EXPECT IT TO GIVE ME GOOD SERVICE FOR A VERY LONG TIME. I LOVE THE SAFETY FEATURES AND THE SELF DISCIPLNE ADDRESSED. THANKS DAVE L.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Warranty, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Service Guarantee, Safety Features, Secure Cut Size, Jam Resistance, Mess Reduction
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Shredder But Could Use A Few Added Features

I really like this shredder. It does not jam and handles shredding multiple pieces of paper real well. But there are a few things that would make this shredder GREAT instead of just GOOD. First, a molded handle in the bin would make it a lot easier to carry. And second, a slot in the bin to slide larger items through for recycling. For instance, when I get a catalog, I tear off the front cover and shred that but would still like to recycle the whole catalog. So I have to lift up shredder head and throw it in or just leave it laying on the floor until I empty the bin.
Pros: Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Safety Features, Jam Resistance
Cons: bin needs redesigned with a handle, bin needs redesigned with a recycle slot

Easy to use, efficient, read the manual so you do not cause damage and/or overheat. 9 sheet capacity - advised to use less for efficiency and avoid jams. Buy the shredder lubricating sheets to ensure machine longevity.
Pros: Quality Construction, Warranty, Service Guarantee, Safety Features, Jam Resistance, Mess Reduction
Cons: Sheet Capacity, medium noise level
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Shredder!

My P-58c shredder is exactly as advertised regarding performance and jam resistance. Just recently, I shredded eight years of income tax returns, and my shredder never slowed down or jammed. The feature I really enjoy is the safe sense which automatically shuts the shredder off when fingers get too close to the paper slot. Also, I like the size and capacity of the bin. I will recommend this shredder to all friends!
Pros: child safe

So far the only problem I've had with this shredder is that it will turn on when not in use, so I have to keep the buttom in the off position at all times. For the price not a bad little shredder.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Secure Cut Size, Jam Resistance
Cons: Safety Features

Good shredder

So far, I think this is a good item but a little noisy. Has a safety lock which is helpful if you have young children but you have to shut it off, then switch on the safety - can't just be left on adn switch back and forth between the safety lock. Strangely, I can't find the power button which, according to a sticker, should be somewhere on top. But it really is no big deal because you have another switch to use. Seems pretty durable - can take cards, staples, etc. but is noisy. Again, minor detail. The shredders itself fits securly on top of the bin so there are no openings which is also more visually appealing and safer. Overall, this is a good purchse.
Pros: Quality Construction, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Safety Features, Jam Resistance, Mess Reduction
