Excellent Value

This thing is great, it does everything I need it to do, and nothing gratuitous. I was looking for an affordable (but reliable) shredder to shred some old personal documents, and this one fit the bill perfectly. I'd used a more expensive Fellowes model shredder at work previously, and I knew they were good, and when I saw this one I couldn't resist.
While it doesn't shred CD's, it's not a big negative in my books as I never use them anyway.
Would highly recommend for anyone who just needs a good, solid shredder for documents and credit cards.
Pros: Quality Construction, Safety Features, Mess Reduction
Cons: Quiet Operation

the P-58Cs is a great shredder for home use; it will make an excellent gift for anyone on you list :-)
Pros: Quiet Operation, Quality Construction, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, great for home use :-)
Cons: none to speak of at this time :-)

Should use another Brand

This is my second fellowes shredder (P-58Cs) , stopped working after 6 months.

great shredder

bought the p-58csa as a replacement home shredder, works great. I used to have jams on my cheaper shredder but not with this one. credit cards were no problem shredding fellowes says no staples or paper clips so i wont try that. the unit says 9 sheets but unit seems to strain a little when you get over 4 or 5
Pros: Quality Construction, Secure Cut Size, Jam Resistance, Mess Reduction

Fellows Representative assisted me with questions re start-up. She was very helpful, shredder has performed as advertised. Obviously safety features are installed for a reason(s).

I'm glad I bought another Fellowes shredder this time. The cheaper ones I had before did not last long at all.
