very ugly

This is rather ugly. yes, it prints, and yes, from the other reviews it has mediocre software but ME, I am a NitPik master! the swoopy plastic is reminiscent of the ye old 2000s gadgets akin to the iBook clamshell. the little text at the bottom is ugly, the shape is like if you took a Sebring-Vanguard Citicar and left it to weather outside like beach glass. the blue logo on black plastic is ugly, and overall just an insult to humanity

Great little printer

We bought this printer years ago to make custom labels that our point-of-sale system was not capable of making. Considering its price, it has done a stellar job on print quality and durability. Yes, the software is not very elaborate but it's also free so complaining about it seems a little silly to me. Our other much more expensive point-of-sale printer doesn't come with any software so we have to purchase a license just to be able to design labels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love This Printer

I love this printer! It has made my business run smoother, get organized and look more professional. I love the CD /DVD Label kit! I have used other label printers in the past, but this one blows them all out of the water. Everyone on my staff really loves this printer. We are going to invest in other Dymo printers in the near future.
Got this because I was tired of laser printer label sheets that I couldn't find in stores. Went on an organizing rampage in garage and couple of "busy" rooms in house and printed labels like crazy during the process. It's a fast printer and the whole workflow is a lot faster than doing the laser thing. Also use for sporadic address label events, plus file folders and such. Really turned out to be a game saver and still does.
Pros: Neat Settings, Works Quickly, Simple Controls, Easy Sw Use

Good Printer / Software

I bought this printer based on the recommendation from the management software I use for a check in / check out process. It worked great out of the box and installation was easy. After the second meeting the printer began to jam and the check in person worked a while trying to get labels to print. After cleaning with denatured alcohol she was up and running again. As the IT person, I would like to create custom labels for this printer. Unfortunately, I have to have the printer on my computer at home to use the software to make custom labels. I downloaded the software at home, downloaded a label template and planned on working away. The software will not run without the label printer connected to my computer. This is a horrible feature and I am not sure why Dymo is concerned about someone using their label software to make custom labels for Dymo printers. Inconvenient.
