I love being able to have clear, crisp, large lettering on so,so many things. And not having to go to the Post Office--that makes it worth the price! Love being able to take it and laptop to large meetings to print readable name bags on the spot. I think this is still a bit more PC oriented than Mac but I've been using Dymo printers with my Macs for years anyway. The latest software had a glitch so I reverted back to the older version--works just fine. Only wish it had an off button; don't like that it is always on unless unplugged.
Pros: Works Quickly, Strong Labels, Neat Settings
Cons: No Off Button

DYMO LABELWRITER 450 Machine great ! but software?

This machine was a godsend when we purchased it and still is if it would work on the new software upgrade . I always used the original driver V8 and it worked fine , however recently it just gives me a blank screen . i cant find my original driver disc that came with it and I find Dymo Connect a horrible user interface , plus all our business labels are stored on the original Dymo V8 . I'm using Windows 10 and I need to get the old driver back but cant seem to find it anywhere just a list of the newest drivers . HELP !!!!!!!!!! ASAP!!!!!!!!

Intelligent Mail Barcode Option

Upgraded to Windows 11 and had to download the latest Demo Connect for my LabelWriter 450 Turbo. Transferred all my labels that were backed up and when I opened my mailing address the Intelligent Mail Barcode was not available. Why is this barcode no longer an option? Before adding this barcode the USPS would end up mailing my letter back to the sender and not to the recipient. Using the label 30256 the USPS address scan would sometimes read the return address thus the use of the barcode eliminates their mistake. This rating is for the software to utilize the printer only.

The Intelligent Barcode feature is not available yet in DYMO Connect Software, therefore you would need to enter your barcode and address manually in the DYMO Connect Software.
Our DYMO Label Software is still available on our website, kindly navigate to our Compatibility Chart to install the software.

This printer is fit for one time use - before it inevitably dies on you.

Very poor experience out of the box.

I bought this new on Amazon. Attempting to install to a Win 7 Ultimate, 64bit machine. USB 2.0 port right off of the motherboard. Downloaded v8.5.1 and installed the software. It installed, but when I click the icon to run it, it tries to launch for maybe 1 second then nothing happens. Tech support is only available 8a to 6p EST which are exactly my work hours. I guess I'll have to box it up and send it back. All in all a very disappointing experience.

Based on what you have described I recommend installing the most up to date version of Dymo Label Software, version 8.5.3. This download can be found under the support tab on www.dymo.com. Needs Media Mail Option

I purchased the 450 Turbo to print postage for my onlinbe art and jewelry business. I also sell antiques and vintage items, including books and movies. I was very excited to start using my label printer. I rushed to get the software installed, everything registered, and I purchased some postage. The first label I was going to print was going to be Media Mail to send a VHS tape, but lo and behold, no Media Mail option in DYMO Stamps. I was very disappointed. The label printer will still be a valuable asset to my business, but I wish I could use it to print ALL kinds of postage. Other things I would like to see: -Option to purchase and print delivery confirmation labels. -A software package for Linux. I'm not a developer, but I mainly use Linux. I downloaded the dymo cups drivers for Linux, but am unable to figure out how to incorporate DYMO into Libre Office. DYMO Stamps for Linux would be fantastic also.
Pros: Works Quickly, Fast Printing, Quiet, Strong Labels, Simple Controls
Cons: No Media Mail Option

Great but

When printing multiple labels and the labels run out and new labels are installed the printer continues printing right away before the labels are seated properly and teh printer jams. The release clutch was not enough and it jammed destroying my print head.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this product for a couple of years Now, with extremely limited use. Each time I use it, the paper continues to jam even after being advised to download the updated software. In addition, the labels do not stick to the exterior of

What’s the point of self adhesive stickers if you have to put tape over them to keep them in place? That is just a waste of extra money and time!
Unfortunately, I didn’t think this was a big issue at first, figuring that I would have time to correct the situation because it started jamming immediately. I didn’t know about the lack of adhesion to the containers I need it for.
The only positive I can say about this is that ink prints clearly, and that the software program is fairly simple to you
