Purchased this microwave, a refrigerator, dual fuel range and a dishwasher almost 4 years ago. Utterley dissapointed,. KitchenAid is not the stellar brand it used to be. Turns out dishwasher was damaged in production and they would not replace with new: but our fabulous appliance retailer did...with a Bosch! Ice maker leaked and buckled wood floor: they would not fix floor. Range is whimpy. Microwave has automatic fan that comes on at 1000 decibels and cannot be turned off manually. The stainless finish is delicate and touchy as is the surface top of the range. Would NEVER have purchased these appliances, had I known.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

microwave fine hood fan worthless

Bought this microwave hood combo in 2013. The microwave works fine. The exhaust fine is totally worthless. I have had service people out and they sealed several leaks, but it didn't improve much.

Less than 2 years old and already breaking. The door does not register that it is closed. Keeps saying to open and close door and press start repeatedly even after doing so...therefore you cannot cook anything. Almost $500 for it to only last that long is insane.
