I like the refrigerator's performance and space. Could improve it by enclosed butter tray, more options for interior and door shelf placements, and bottom freezer drawers to pull out further.

We bought our fridge 2 years ago. I love the fact the freezer is on the bottom. With small children, it keeps them out of the fridge part and also since we use the fridge most it nice to not have to bend over so often to get things out. It is a very quiet fridge and I love the way it is set up. The seperators on the doors are great for organizing and holding basically everything I need them to. I have a very small kitchen so I bought the smaller of this style and still it has all the room I need.Also, I love the sliding shelves. It makes it easy to reach things in the back of the fridge and very easy to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for the price

We purchased when are old refrigerator gave up on us.We have limited space so this fit the bill. The only feature we do not use isthe auto ice maker.

To replace a 26 year-old French Door, bottom freeze Whirlpool, this 19cu. ft. bottom freezer fit the bill AND the available space; several inches less wide, and only several inches deeper. Same height, so it fits under existing cabinets.We like the super capacity of the door storage shelves. They reduce the clutter of smalls, and Large milk cartons keep fresh longer when they can be stored at lowest level on doors rather than top shelf.Since we don't need the ice-maker, it was a bit of a trick to unplug and remove it, but that to added to the large bottom freezer space.Extremely quiet operation, and we immediately noticed reduced electricity bills.Thanks, Whirlpool.

Would be better if temperature controls would be further back. I also did not like that it does not have a tray to keep cold cuts.

Quick Fix to Ice

I found a way to periodically get rid of the ice instead of getting rid of the fridge or spending more money. I took out the drawer and slowly poured boiling water over the ice where it starts in the back of the freezer. Enough water got underneath the ice sheet to release it from the bottom to remove it. The first time I picked it up almost as a whole sheet and the second time I smashed it into pieces with my wooden meat tenderizer first! I had a towel on the floor to catch the overflow. The first time I unplugged the fridge, the second I didn't bother, but probably should from now on! I think it was a few months in between, I know when it needs to be done because one of my cats sits by the fridge to catch the drips!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
