More intuitive than my computer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In a world where every company has its own coding this appliance is fairly straight forward. The temperatures are spot on. No scorching or under cooking. I haven't used the conventional oven.

Bakes perfectly

We bought this to replace the 19 year old appliance in our new house. I have never had a wall oven before and wasn't thrilled with having to replace the old one but now I am glad I did. It looks wonderful, very clean lines and modern looking. The installer told me to run the oven and the broiler for a few minutes before using so that's what I did. After that I had to try it out to see how well it worked so I whipped up a batch of cookies as a trial run. The cookies turned out perfectly! Nice and brown, even baking and no signs of maladjusted oven. So far so good, I can't wait for Thanksgiving to roll around to give it a thorough workout.

Microwave-Oven Combo

After searching for a microwave -oven combo for over a year, I purchased a GE JTP90PBB. I love the unit. I show it off to my family and guests. It is everything I wanted without being too complicated.

Easy to use, great features

We bought this oven in a special one on one deal with GE. For the most part, we are very pleased. However, there were some problems with installation, even though careful measurements were taken so that the oven would fit properly. The cabinet maker, along with some assistance from my husband, had to improvise to make the oven fit; it is still not 100% straight, but they made it work. The function of the oven though, is excellent.

Not that different is bad, but....it's over all dim for height was way off - by about 4"which appears to come from the shortness of the oven. It cooks faster than my old oven. It has too many shelf positions which sounded good, but i have to move them just about every time i cook. Love the microwave. Very easy to use; it gives you prompts when defrosting things. The oven timer is only in minutes which takes some time getting use to. Since it is a regular thermal oven, i dont understand why it blows out so much warm air. It also takes a long time to come up to temp and to cool down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Some issues

I was disappointed to find that the button that opens the microwave was not improved from my original appliance from 10 years ago. (We replaced the control panel twice before the whole combo unit didn't work.) It doesn't always pop out. Then the oven takes longer to heat up, and it bakes my cakes unevenly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
