It fits my kitchen perfectly!

I replaced my original microwave/oven combination because the inside of the door of the microwave had completely rusted. When the ceiling paint of the microwave began to peel and flake off, I contacted customer service. Even though the oven and the microwave worked perfectly, customer service convinced me that I should buy a new unit and I did. The person I dealt with was courteous and helpful. She assured me that my problem was not that unusual and that the engineers had developed new paint and there would be no more problems. A few weeks ago, I noticed a slight "split" in the paint on my new microwave. Fearing another siege of rust, I called the customer service representative again. She arranged for a person to evaluate the problem. The service person was courteous and did his best to resolve the problem suggesting the circulating tray had bumped the door causing the split. He ordered a new tray and paint for me to touch up the marks. I have taken a picture of the marks prior to applying the paint. (personally, I don't think it is the fault of the tray). I am a careful, clean, rational person and am distressed that my new unit already has a flaw. Otherwise, I have used the oven and the microwave often. They function beautifully. The combined unit is just right for my kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After my GE double wall oven/microwave quit working after 13 years (daily use), I found it was not the best choice to get the unit fixed based on the repair price. I was shocked at the replacement price. However, based on the price of other brands, GE was reasonable. I am happy with the product so far.

Great replacement unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The previous model to this one was originally installed in our home 17 years ago. It worked great all that time, but finally gave up the ghost. We replaced it with this one, and we are thrilled that the inside of the oven is lots bigger! I always struggled with the small size of the old oven. This one fits in the same space, but the oven is much bigger. A couple of things that I don't like: it seems to take a long time to pre-heat, and the timer bell is very quet, almost impossible to hear. Maybe there is an adjustment I can make, I haven't researched it. The other thing is that there was no top trim piece that would cover the screw holes for the old oven. If this unit is supposed to take the place of the other one, I would think that the trim would cover up any screw holes that the old unit left behind. I used a small piece of quarter round and it looks fine, but I would have liked to have had a piece that was made specifically for this unit.Other than these few things, I love this new oven/microwave!

Works great

We replaced our 30-year old oven with this one, and are very happy with it. It has a lot more room inside, and works perfectly, A tiny quibble: the controls for the microwave use different logic than the controls for the oven. For instance, you press different buttons to use each kitchen timer. Odd, but OK once you get used to it.

The only problem I have is that a tiny piece of the white enamel scraped off while I was removig the wrapping film. This exposed bare metal underneath and I am not sure how to cover it properly --- someone suggested fingernail polish.

Microwave doesn't adequatly vent

Everything about it is first rate, except that the microwave section does not adequately vent moisture from cooked foods. When the door is opened, steam instantly condenses on the interior walls of the microwave. I worry that over time this moisture will migrate through small scratches, nicks, or cracks in the paint on the sheet metal floor, then rust out the floor. The floor is not a replaceable component. That's what happened to my old GE combo microwave/wall oven appliance. The appliance I'm rating is the only replacement with the same dimensions that GE offers. It was either get the replacement appliance, or make extensive cabinetry changes to accommodate a different type of appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchase 3 months ago to replace a building in appliance, the installation was very easy and directions where simple. the delivery time was somewhat long after placing order at store.
