You can get tablet covers pretty much anywhere. If just for standard protection alone, I would give this Tab 3 cover 3.5-stars. Fits well, nice color, prevents scratches when used properly. Now why wouldn't I recommend to anyone, where, anytime?....
= the flap depends on static cling to stay closed. there is no magnetic closure or strap. this is OK until you get the inside of the cover a bit dirty (which you will, because your greasy fingerprints on the screen are going to rub off on the inside cover). when it gets dirty the flap isn't going to sleeky cling forever; you're going to have a cover that then flaps in the breeze. flap away.
= the magnetic strip on the back of the cover device that is supposed to hold the device upright (horizontally) so that it can stand on a table top is NOWHERE NEAR STRONG ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF THE TAB 3. yes i am yelling. standing the device up to watch is touted as a primary benefit - IT FAILS AT DOING SO. want to watch a video hands-free while laying down? nope. want to cook a recipe you found online while you're hands are covered in ____ ? nyet. want to stand the device on your tray and enjoy a movie on your 7-hour flight? nicht. sure, you can prop up the device anyway you want with other obejects, but as an advertised feature - FAIL.
= it's diffifcult to access the micro-sd door since the door is on the left-side of the device (where the spine of the cover is - no room for chubby fingers to manipulate.)
= it's difficult to take a picture because the the flap is flapping away while you're trying to balance the device in your hands to take a decent shot (which admittedly is likely to not happen anyway since it's a 3MP cam). this is a universal problem with book-cover-cases, and only those cases with a cut-out on the cover can really solve this conundrum.
= nice color (garnet) against white Tab 3.
Pros: nice color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, expensive

Great Case Cover

Love my pink case. I guess if you want great quality you have to pay for it...
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: it was a bit pricey

Configuration problem/overpriced

I purchased this product (luckily on sale) to protect my tablet, which it does very well, however I do not like the landscape positioning. First, the cover is not steady nor sturdy enough. The cover must be positioned just right in order for the tablet to be in the landscape position. More importantly, in this position the tablet rests on the on/off and volume buttons. You could flip the tablet in the case but then the Samsung logo is upside down.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, overpriced
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

THE CHOICES FOR THIS PRODUCT ARE FEW, BUT IT DOES THE JOB FOR WHAT IT IS DESIGNED. DONT HESITATE TO BUY IT, YOU NEED IT.
