Amazing Underwater Photos
on August 21, 2010

Images taken underwater in the underwater mode are incredibly clear. The features like zoom, video and flash also work underwater. I've been able to continue enjoying my snorkeling long after I've been out of the water. Just remember to set the mode! The camera has many modes for dry shooting too.

Great camera for all-in-one starter

After destroying 2 power shots in harsh travel conditions- one by water emersion and one by dropping- I received the D10 as a gift. After 18 months I can say I am in love with this camera. It is a fantastic choice for the beginner who enjoys photography in all conditions. The macro images are crisp and impressive. The sunset feature allows for truly remarkable images that rival professional photographers. It is a welcomed companion at the beach above and below the ocean waves. The D10 does have some weaknesses: it could use a more hand friendly design and its screen could use rubber bumpers to protect it from the elements. However, If your new to photography and enjoy a compact camera with lots of features this is the cannon D10 is a fantastic choice.
Pros: powerful features, excellent auto mode, good value, waterproof
Cons: housing design, screen protection

Good all purpose camera

An easy to use point and shoot that shines with underwater shots. I used this camera at the beach, in a hotel swimming pool and at home in our backyard pool. The photo quality was excellent. The videos were good as well, ahthough not high def. The camera is a bit clumsy compared to the average point and shoot - not one to fit in a pocket like some of the others on the market. In addition, the speaker in the camera was never very strong and died within a month. The built in mike picks up sounds but you have to crank up the audio to hear it. Aside from those complaints, it's a very good camera, yeiding some very good underwater photos.

I bought this camera for a cross country motorcycle trip. The camera stood up well in temperatures to 115 degrees and through some heavy rains. I have no regrets about the purchase of this camera. It is well built with many features that are welcomed in a camera for rough outdoor use.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Land and Sea MUST HAVE
on February 9, 2011

This little beauty is a must have if you are a water enthusiast. Not only does it take crisp pictures on land, but underwater as well. My husband and I each have one (worth the price) in our dive bags. They are an absolute necessity going snorkeling. We have captured the coolest sea creatures and would totally be bummed if we didn't have a way to share what we saw or something to remember it by. It's so small and compact, (unlike the big underwater housings.) The only camera you need on the boat too if you're afraid your DSLR will get wet or that condensation or humidity will get to it or it getting stolen. The strap accessories keep it on our person securely. The camera let's you screw your strap(s) on any corner of the camera. Easy operation too- even underwater! Movie mode works great in the water too. It doesn't have the color correction filter though like the other shooting modes, but no big deal. I can't say enough about this camera. Awesome pictures in the Pacific waters of Kauai to the Caribbean waters of Bonaire. Oh and the ISO3200 gave me fabulous night shots without noticeable grain. LOVE THIS CAMERA!!
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

The Canon D10 worked like a charm and for the price I really can't complain. The only thing I have a hard time adjusting to is the zooming and and out of the lens. I am so used to the other powershots that I have that the controls of the D10 became annoying. Other than that the camera worked perfectly. I took great pictures in and out of the water.
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Heavy/Bulky, zoom control is annonying
