I've only had this product for a month now and I'm highly satisfied with it. I've tested it out at the beach and the pictures are amazing. You do have to get used to some of the controls. The set up is a little different than the older Powershots.
You have an option as to where you can attach the wrist strap which is nice. This way you can hold it in your left or right hand without a problem and not worry about the strap getting in the way of the shot.
The camera is a little larger than most but it seems very sturdy. It's not going to fit in your pocket as easily as other cameras would but if you want something you can take anywhere; to the beach, pool, or skying, this is the camera for you. It's the main reason I bought it and I feel it's the best one out there right now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I researched and the little D10 seemed to give me all I wanted at the right price.
I took it into the pool over the weekend with my kids for a test drive, and was very impressed with the pictures.
You gotta read the manual--it does a lot more than point and shoot, and knowing how to use all the setting requires a bit of study. I'm a Nikon user, so maybe that made it a little harder for me.

Great outdoor Camera

I bought this camera after doing a lot of research online for a good underwater camera. Out of all of the reviews and articles I read it named this camera as being the best. I must say though, that when I got to the store I was really tempted on buying the slimmer, sleeker competitor's camera which the sale rep was recommending, but I held my ground, stuck with what I know and bought the Canon D10. They did offer me 5 days to bring it back if I changed my mind and wanted to get the Competitor's one. I don’t think I will be though.
As first glance, the camera seems really bulky compared to my other canon elph, and even the first couple pictures I took in-doors didn’t seem all that much better than with my old camera which only had 5 mega pixel. I was really hoping this new camera could replace my old one, but after using it over the weekend, it really seems more like a vacation camera or one I would take when I know I wanted good pictures, not something I can tote around with me in my purse. Besides that, all the outdoor picture and underwater pictures and video I took came out great! I got some really great shot of my son’s first time swimming without floaties, which was well worth it right there. I also used the fireworks setting, but didn’t care for it much. I think the regular night setting works better. Also, my computer won’t expect the program c.d. so I can’t view the videos, but my computer is on the old side, so maybe won’t be a problem for most.
So the outcome is, I wish it was smaller and thinner so I could use it as an everyday camera (especially after what I paid for it) but it is a great outdoor/vacation camera. I’m looking forward to using it on our 2 upcoming vacations to Naples and Mexico. Oh! and buy a case, I dropped it just once slightly on the cement, and it already has a few nicks in it.
Pros: great underwater pictures and video
Cons: camera is big and bulky

This camera is a must have. My wife and I received this camera as one of our wedding presents. I must say that this gift ended up being one of our favorites. We took this on our honeymoon and dunked, dropped it (15 feet into 3 inches of water), abused it, loved it, snorkeled with it, recorded video, etc... It still works like new. It took all of our abuse and doesn't differ from when we first took it out of the box. If you are a traveler and need a camera you can trust that takes excellent, and I mean gorgeous pictures, buy this one. TIP, I recommend keeping it on the vivid setting for all your shots. I am really fond of this device. I have played with all of the settings and must say the user interface is so easy anyone would be able to understand it. So don't get swindled into buying something you don't need or don't want. Buy this one. Trust me you will be so amazed you too will come back to this site and write your own review.

This is an excellent camera for water sports and vacationing. I have to admit I purchased another though, due to my need for HD video. Canon, step up and provide us a waterproof with HD video, please?! :)

So far we have shot 4GB and all images came out perfectly. Pictures are clear. Color is fantastic. IS seem to be functioning properly. All functions are in the typical Canon location. Haven't tried underwater yet, but soon. My kids love the camera. I don't have to worry about them dropping or spilling drinks all over it.
Pros: sharp photo, sturdy feel, nice clear lcd, it's a canon!!!
Cons: needs better zooming, design could be slimmer

Amazing Camera

When I purchased this camera I had no idea I was getting a great out-of water camera and video recorder in addition to an amazing underwater camera. This camera ROCKS! The pictures underwater are amazing and so is the video. I'm tempted to use the camera as my video camera as well and get rid of my old video recorder. I had no idea you could record underwater and still actually hear audio, but with this camera you can! It does it all. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone and everyone. I am so glad Canon came out with this amazing underwater camera. Thank you Canon!!!
Pros: affordable, user friendly, takes great video, takes great photos in and out of water
Cons: not much zoom but that is understandable
