Most durable camera

Well I bought this camera in Camp Striker, Iraq from a PX there. It lasted the whole deployment with me. A little over two weeks ago I brought it with me to the All Star race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and I put it somewhere outside when I got back and forgot about it. Yesterday I was messing outside and I happened to run into it. It was covered in dirt and mud when I found it. It's been storming a lot the past couple weeks also. I pushed the on button after I had cleaned it off and it just started right up like a charm. That's the kind of camera I've been looking for.

All I own is Canon and have been waiting their all weather model. There weren't any in stock around town, which speaks volumes. When I finally got a handle on one... the dealer said as my concerns arose b4 purchase, "It is their 1st pass." Better photo quality than all others around;however, bulky. Best for outdoor use not to own as an everything camera. Need a second slimmer point and shoot for city lifestyle.
Pros: excellent outdoor use, stupendous around water
Cons: bulky, lens needs a closure
I would recommend this to a friend!

Leaked first time in water
on July 12, 2010

My 18 year old son loved this camera until he took it in a lake. He never took it deeper than 5 feet but kept it in water for about 20 minutes. It clouded over and we realized it was full of water. We checked all openings and they were sealed so we do not know how water got in. We cannot find warranty card, but will try to get exchanged.
Pros: good pictures
Cons: leaked first time in water

As many have found, the D10 was only waterproof until submerged.

The carema can take nice pictures. But it's too bulky to carry it everywhere. It cannot fit into your pocket.
Pros: good picture quality
Cons: too bulky

This is an excellent camera for water sports and vacationing. I have to admit I purchased another though, due to my need for HD video. Canon, step up and provide us a waterproof with HD video, please?! :)
