great quality/price for small businesses

First, it's the ease of use or user-friendly.
Note the easy straight forward setup.
Scan speed is more than acceptable and the quality is also good. The multiple pages features is great for time saving as you can stack quite a bunch to scan into one document.
The quality is very good for the price you have to pay. I would recommend this to any one with a restrict budget.

ADF Scanner for Small Office & Personal Use

The Workforce GT-1500 is a high quality scanner for documents. It also does a credible job on images. Users can set the scanner to automatically scan to PDF, a real time saver. While not suited to enterprise use or heavy duty cycles (for which it was never intended), the GT-1500 is definitely a cost effective solution for personal use and small office use. Productivity is greatly increased by its up to 20 pages per minute with very good quality. The LED technology requires no warmup time and fast scans. The scanner is green due to no mercury in its construction and reduced power consumption. Definitely worthy of serious consideration by small office users and home users.

Great little product, BUT

Wasted a lot of time trying to set up without installation disc, having all the drivers downloaded from website...never worked. After finally locating the installation disc, it works like a charm and I am satisfied. WHY IS THE SERIAL NUMBER HIDDEN ON UNDERSIDE OF THE SCANNER? One of life's mysteries, I guess. Location of S/N made this a 4 star instead of a 5 star.

I love it so much I bought a second one

The Epson gt1500 has literally revamped the way I do my business. I cannot function without it and felt I needed to buy a second one as a backup. I work with colors and fabrics and I scan everything from petterns to orders sent directly overseas.

GT-1500 scanner

Great scanner - replaces an Epson 4180 that finally gave up the ghost after a decade. 90 degree cover opening is nice, doc feeder is great. Downsides: there is no "home corner" to snug originals up against, you must align them in the center or you won't get an entire edge scanned. Also, the Epson Scan software won't let me select a paper size when using the ADF in "Professional" mode -- it scans as though it's an 8.5 x 14 legal document. Works OK in "Office" mode though.

No luck

Purchased this scanner over a year ago, but only installed it today. Right off the bat, it won't work, but none of the troubleshooting options has solved the problem. Also, after installing software from CD, my Outlook email quit working, so I had to restore computer's settings, thereby uninstalling scanner software.
Am lost, and have no idea what to do, so I cannot offer a positive review--or a negative one, honestly, because I have been unable to try the scanner out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great scanner

After much research I decided to go with the Epson WorkForce GT-1500 and so far I am very pleased with its performance, speed, and user friendliness. I was tempted at first to purchase an upright scanner but realized the flat bed option may come in handy and feel the actual scanning does a better job. The footprint takes up a little more space then the upright but is also less expensive. As a Realtor I am attempting to go as paperless as possible to avoid the high cost of ink replacement and maintain the bar on quality documentation from an appearance stand point. Therefore I feel creating a pdf file and emailing fellow Realtors and or clients is the most efficient way to go. I know I would always rather receive an email w/attachments of 20 pages or more than having it faxed. The GT-1500 gets the job done!

Excellent Scanner

This scanner is very easy to use and has nice and easy software that comes with it. Not only that but it is TWAIN compliant which was a must for our requirement. Speed and quality of scans are excellent and the ability to quickly change settings on the fly is nice as well. I would definitely purchase this scanner again. We bought three of them and couldn't be happier.
