Poorly designed, loud, disappointing.

This dishwasher came as standard in our new home, we had the option to switch to other models or brands, yet because of the Fridgidaire name we "assumed" that we were getting a quality product that would have benefit of experience and longevity of the brand. Wrong! Firstly, let me say that this dishwasher does a great job cleaning dishes and pots, yet the poor design is so frustrating. The size of the compartments in the silverware basket lend themselves to silverware bunching up together, upper rack supposedly accommodates wine glasses with stem holders, the rack does not accommodate even the smallest wine glasses using the stem holders, the tines in racks for bowls are poorly designed - if you try to use the recommended loading pattern, good luck. Another thing about this dishwasher is the persistent smell of the plastic of the tub. I realize this is an entry level model, yet common sense design shouldn't suffer. If you want a dishwasher that does an awesome job cleaning dishes, yet is extremely loud, lacks design for efficient and easy loading, contact me -- i've got one for sale.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
