2 years old and it's stuck in power failure mode for no apparent reason. I researched online and it appears same is a common problem.

I am dismayed to hear your dishwasher is displaying the error code PF, roberto0103. As you have stated, PF indicates a power failure has occurred. This error code can occur when more than 10% of power has dropped to the unit. Touching the Start/Cancel button should cancel this error code and a new cycle can be started. If this doesn’t clear the error code, please interrupt the power to the machine at the breaker box for 15 minutes, then reapply. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reconnect with us directly for more trouble shooting help. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Pump failure, sewage smell and water backup
on June 23, 2019

We bought our range, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher in this collection three years ago. The dishwasher works properly for about a year before dirty water began pooling at the bottom after a cycle. How do I know it's dirty water? I have to take the bottom metal filter out and suction the water with a turkey baster (and can see it's not clear) after every cycle; otherwise it recirculates on the dishes during the next wash cycle. After suctioning the water, I have to leave the door open to air out. If I don't, the washer will have a fowl sewage odor. The dishes never come out fully clean and we regularly do a quick rinse before loading a dish or silverware. No matter the cleanser or rinse aid used, there are always dishes with a white residue (like detergent not fully cleaned off) after a cycle. Because we bought the smudge-proof finish, there aren’t many choices to fix the issue while also having a congruous finish to our appliances. Not to mention that it’s ridiculous and we shouldn’t have to pay for another dishwasher after three years!

Hello, Kkoby! Thank you for your feedback! We sincerely apologize for your experience with your Frigidaire Dishwasher. If your dishwasher is not draining properly, please check to make sure that the sump/filter, has been cleaned of food debris. This will also help prevent odors forming in your dishwasher. For optimum cleaning performance, try using the High option on the model. During the high option, the dishwasher heats water in the main wash to approximately 140F (60C) and increases the temperature higher in the final rinse. This helps the dishwasher detergent remove food grease and soil from dishes more effectively. Hard water could also cause white residue build up. We would recommend looking into water softener options, to prevent the build up. Hopefully, this helps. Should you need further assistance, please contact us directly at 800-374-4432 M-F, 8:30 am- 8:00 pm. ~Briana
