Oven is slow to reach temperature

I bought this a year ago and realized from the first day the electric oven was going to be an energy eater. I know the technology of electric ovens is pretty much the same as 25 years ago but this oven takes forever to reach 400 degrees and then runs a forced air fan forever to cool it down after its turned off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needed a small built in combo to replace an existing one, also a GE. Love the look and fit into our kitchen. Easy to operate.

Had no choice. Replacement for older unit.

This is a replacement. The older unit required multiple repairs until it finally failed. The microwave door on the older unit cracked at a corner. The control module had to be replaced at about 12 years (not really too bad) - a heating element in the oven had to be replaced. The new oven is slightly larger or seems to be - that's good. The microwave door may have been improved. Generally this is a pretty good appliance.
