Well I didnt expect what I recived
PROS: Outstanding picture
Ease of use
Lots of HDMI ports
CONS: Hard to sync with other devices

Excellent TV

This television has worked flawlessly from the first day I got it. The setup directions were very easy to follow. The size of the tv was perfect for the room that I placed it in. This model, having 4 speakers @ 30 watt total, has excellent sound. It only took a little tweaking with the 5 band equalizer to get the sound that I was looking for. The picture on this set is absolutely beautiful! I could not have asked for a better TV. I did a lot of shopping around and a lot of internet research before I landed on this particular model. It has more than an adequate number of HDMI hookups (4) so I was able to hook up all my accessories. Again....perfect TV for a perfect price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent TV purchased in 2009

My wife (God rest her soul) who passed 2 yrs ago purchased this as a Christmas gift for me in December 2009. The TV gave me one problem in 2016. It would turn off on its own after watching about 4 hours. I noticed it was extremely hot and that's when it would shutoff. I had it in a corner of the room where there was very little ventilation. I placed it in a different spot where there was good ventilation and never had the problem again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The over the ear earbuds are very comfortable, great sound quality, design and construction. Fills all your needs for a compact on the go headphone at an affordable and excellent price!
Pros: simply excellent!, great price!
Cons: no cons about it.

Great TV for a great price!

We've had our Phillips TV for about four months and LOVE it! The picture is awesome, the sound is excellent for a flat-screen, and the controls and settings are easy to use. Occasionally, I turn it on and there's no sound. Turning it off and then on again resolves the problem, but that could also be my HDMI cable. Haven't tried switching it out with another cable yet. It doesn't happen that often and it's not that big of a problem for me. I bought the three year extended warranty , and would recommend anyone buying a flat-screen get it. No regrets buying this TV. I'd recommend it highly.
Pros: great picture, incredible sound for a flat-screen
Cons: potential audio issues, light sensor saves power makes picture too dark

Difficulties turning TV on; Missing pictures

I received this TV as a gift last year. The person who gave it to me had bought it a few months before and gave it to me when my old TV died. After a few months of using it, the TV would only turn on occasionally, sometimes after mutilple tries. After a while, it completely refused to turn on. I called Philips customer service and they helped me reset the TV. Everything worked well for another few months but then I started not seeing pictures when I turned the TV on. The sound, however, was fine. I would unplug and turn it back on a few times before getting any picture. Lately, I cannot get any pictures no matter how many times I turn on and off the TV. The sound is still fine.
Philips had always equated quality for me but I am very disappointed.
Pros: nice tv with great picture when available, easy to use when working
Cons: problems with tv turning on, missing picture after about a year of use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BAD BAD DESIGN

Who designed a television that has speakers in the back of the TV? Great Picture.. BUT
The speakers are facing the wall, you have got to be kidding me. !! The wall we have the TV setting against leads to the kitchen and people cannot hear themselves talk in the kitchen because the TV must be turned up so loud to hear it, it makes it too loud in the kitchen. If you need me to help design a tv, let me know.

Tv works ok. TV interferes with the remote control of the cable box.
Cons: cable box does not always work when tv is on.
