I received a free sample of the Sonicare Air Flosser to review. I was a little skeptical at first of this product. It does take 1 or 2 uses to get used to the product and the right technique to use so you don`t get yourself and the mirror a mess. Basically keep your mouth shut the whole time. I see this product most geared towards ones who don`t floss or who hate to floss. I floss 2-3 times a week and this product doesn`t have me convinced it`s better or an equal, but it`s way better than not flossing.

Easy way to healthy gums!

I received this product for free in exchange for this review. I am not someone who flosses everyday. I wanted to try this product because when I visit the dentist they always tell me I need to start flossing. So far so good with this flosser. It is a really easy process that takes about a minute. I have had the product for about a month and have used this everyday. I like how when you floss this way your gums do not bleed. You just hold the devise up to your mouth and spray in between your teeth. This product has made it easier for me to reach my back teeth. The kit that I received had clear instructions along with everything I needed to get started. I look forward to my next dental visit because I know this is improving my gum health. I would recommend this product to everyone!

Works well, but a problem developed after about a year

Long neck is a separate part from the shoulder piece. My device developed a leak where the two parts connect, so that I also got a squirt of spray on my neck whenever I activated the floss spray -very annoying! Tried to glue it, but the problem recurred.
Pros: the floss spray works very well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not an improvement

I had the former version and when it stopped working, I wanted to replace it. I didn't realize that there and been a change in design. I preferred the old head, and am sad it's not interchangeable. I'd had good results with the first model. I hope I get the same response from my dental hygienist when I go for my next appointment.
Pros: larger filling opening and reservoir.
Cons: new head design

DON'T BOTHER BUYING!!!

Thought this would be a great flosser. First unit lasted a day. We returned it to store for a replacement. Second unit has lasted 2 months and has now seized up. Hopefully I can return it but won't be getting another one. The design is great and it's very easy to use. I just wish it would keep working. Philips has always been very reliable. We have owned toothbrushes, razors,etc. which have lasted for many years.
Pros: great idea
Cons: pump stops working soon after purchase

Good alternative to string floss

Good alternative to string floss. Works very well. This is the 2nd unit as the 1st one stopped working after 6 days. Have had the 2nd one for 3 weeks and works well.
Pros: easy to use, no string floss, mouth feels fresh
Cons: 1st one stopped working after 6 days
