Quick, it's not

I bought this convection oven to save money/electricity and time. It does neither. I replaced a 35 year old oven that could get to 375 degrees in 7.5 minutes. Using the "Quick" Pre-heat function on this oven, the timer goes off - supposedly indicating that the temperature has reached 375 - in 6 minutes. Great, until you check the temperature and find that it's only reached 225 degrees. The manufacturer says this is correct. That's the point when you can put your food in and start the timer. Yeah, right! That's good for only things like turkeys, hams, etc. - anything that takes a long time to bake, and I'm not even sure about that.
To get to 375 degrees, you must set the Quick Pre-heat to 375 a second time, and after another 6 minutes, it will finally reach that temperature.
I've tried the convection feature, too, and I can neither set the temperature lower nor bake for a lesser amount of time. Perhaps this, too, only works with food items that cook a long time, but how often does one cook hams and turkeys?
If I could return this oven and get my OLD oven back, I would do it in a heartbeat.

27" double oven

We chose the Frigidaire Gallery 27" Double Electric Wall Oven, after looking at several other brands. Our choice was based on features, as this was the only double oven that had the same features for both the top and bottom ovens. Both are true convection ovens, with the features we desired, on both. We have been very pleased with this appliance, and would purchase it again if we were doing a new remodel.

Beauty and brains

Well, maybe not brains...but performance. This was the most reasonably priced double convection oven I found, and it's beautifully styled too. Large ovens. Intuitive controls. Rapid pre-heat. (Really like the convection bake "converter") Temperature appears to be right on and baking appears to be very even (what a surpise to find that cakes and pastries don't have to turn dark brown to be done !). Very satisfied and would definitely recommend.

Great oven for us

Replaced a 25-year-old Whirlpool that had required several repairs and finally outlived its parts supply. This Frigidaire oven is very well designed. Installation was straightforward and accomplished easily. Ovens were easily adequate to handle Thanksgiving dinner for 30+ people. Controls and settings are, for the most part, intuitive. Chicken nuggets and Pizza settings are frivolous in our view, but are effective. Convection/conversion feature is easy to use, works well and should help to conserve energy. Racks are well designed and solid. Broiler pan/rack/grill accessory package is reasonably priced - esp. if you use the free shipping coupon. Design is attractive and pleasing but exposed sharp corners of plastic oven doors arrived with small chips and manufacturer's only offered solution was to return and replace entire unit, which would have left us without an oven for 3 weeks (including Thanksgiving!). We opted instead to live with the small chips and accept a 10% credit from the retailer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wall Oven

We have had this wall oven for 1 year and no problems so far. The fast preheat feature works well and the oven cooks very evenly with no apparent hot spots. The self cleaning feature is wonderful.

finally had a 25yr old Litton oven/microwave die and this was the only double oven that easily fit without carpentry. We didn't expect to notice any significant difference in baking quality, and have been stunned by the improvement. Results are more moist, and heat penetrates before browning becomes burning, making toothpick tests a thing of the past. Our teenage sons now prefer sam's club bake at home pizza relative to any other pizza option, and I have to admit that this oven's strengths are most apparent with that product.

This is a beautiful, nice quality oven and it works great! Love the convection mode and the pizza mode is nice for making homemade pizza. Also like the quick preheat feature. :)
