Perfect for ME!

Wanted to upgrade the kitchen in my 40 year old house without installing new cabinets. If I had been ripping everything out, I would have had all kinds of options, but I needed a 30" electric cooktop to replace the old one. Having just replaced the frig with a nice Frigidaire and was very satisfied, I looked at their models first to keep everything the same and stay with one vendor. Found a deal on this one and couldn't be happier. It provides the best looking, most functional cooking for the 30" space and although I could have switched to gas, the space was a little tight for an open flame so it is safer too. Looks great and installation was a snap. High quality right down to the cast metal (not plastic) control knobs with accurate digital readouts. Heats up fast and has nice bridged elements configuration. READ THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS! Although it is well made, it's not bulletproof like your Grandmothers old baked on porcelain. Be gentle and keep up with it and you'll be fine. If you need electric and only have 30 inches, this is your unit.

I absolutely LOVE my new cooktop!! With my other stove, it took FOREVER to heat up and with this one, it heats up in seconds and dinner is ready in no time!! I'm thinking about changing my microwave and oven as well with this brand! 110% satisfied customer. (:

I love this cooktop. It looks beautiful and performs great! The choice of burner sizes is great, easy to fit any cookware. The burners heat up quickly. I replaced an old worn out cooktop and was used to using very high heat and waiting for the burners to heat up so this has been such an awesome change! The controls are very precise- in increments of .2 to .5- for excellent control of cooking temp. Very soon after I got this I had a boilover accident and made a terrible mess. I was so upset thinking that I had damaged my beautiful new cooktop but with a little elbow grease it cleaned up perfectly so although I have only had it for about 4 months I think the durability is excellent as well. I'm so very pleased with this purchase!

Like Gas Better

Bought and installed this cooktop after previous Induction stovetop failed. Grew up on Gas, but this house was wired for electric (no gas), so bought this at recommendation of Consumer Reports. Unit failed after 2 days. Had to order a replacement under warranty and has been OK since. Overall satisfied, but black glass top shows all the spots/dirt and is tough to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This cooktop was sent to me by Frigidaire as a product replacement for another cooktop we had numerous issues with. They sent this to me at no charge, except I had to install. I installed this myself and it was a peice of cake. This cooktop is a 9 out of 10. Better built than the previous one we had. Great product and looks nice.
