Takes 22 minutes to reach 400 degrees!

This is a good looking appliance with good features, unfortunately it takes 22 minutes just to warm up to 400 degrees. People have suggested maybe one of the elements doesn’t work. Also, this is very minor, but half of the colon on the clock doesn’t work, so the time reads more like 12.09 am rather than 12:09 am (see photo). I am not concerned about this unless it is indicative of a bigger problem. I am scheduling a service call to see if they can address these issue. Fingers crossed.

We are sorry to hear about your concern regarding the Preheat time. Depending on the temperature you set, you can expect the preheat time to take approximately 10-20 minutes. Your oven has the hidden bake element (the element is below the floor panel) which may contribute to longer preheat times. The benefit of the hidden bake element is you will have a much easier time wiping out spillovers or the residual ash from self-clean cycle since you no longer have to be concerned with moving the element out of your way. We are not aware of an issue with the "full" colon on the clock display. We are glad to hear you're planning on calling service out to check your oven and hope all goes well. Works just as you would expect

The insulation is markedly improved over earlier models. The door gasket looks like it makes a much better seal when the door is closed. Including air circulation ("convection") in the design was a good idea.
I'm surprised at seeing a neutral wire in the hook up though. if it's okay to tie it to ground for a three wire connection, then make the oven a three wire hook up and eliminate the neutral. I'd have preferred not having to run the extra conductor.

Love how evenly this convection oven cooks food. Panko breaded shrimp, cod, roasted red potatoes, frozen pizza, you name it, everything comes out cooked to perfection every time!

The wall oven is extremely versatile and really helps when cooking other items in the regular oven. The convection system also is a great help. The only issue I have is that the electronics can be spotty. The electronic board and display have a LED that went out and it is difficult to tell the timer or read the clock.
I would recommend this to a friend!

F76 Code

The Keypad suddenly started to beep with the F76 code, when the oven wasn’t even in use. In fact, the oven has barely been used, at all! The code indicates that the keypad is faulty & no longer works. I have had so much trouble with this style GE oven & microwave.

Door does not always close. Takes effort check each time to make sure it has closed completely.
