This stove is by far the best appliance we have owned. If you bake alot you will love convection cooking.

Mafunctioned during second preheating cycle

We built a new home and furnished our kitchen with GE appliances. We will not make that mistake again. This oven put out an error code (F76) during the very first preheating cycle. This causes the oven to emit a high pitched, shrill alarm that can only be silenced by resetting the breaker. We contacted the appliance store that it was purchased from and were told that "several models have been having this issue", but that they would not replace it. We have had this oven since January of 2020 and have had this issue more than a dozen times since then. Please google this model # and "F76 error". You will see that it is a common issue. The error code causes the alarm to sound and the only way to silence it is to reset the breaker. Do not purchase this oven.

I cannot say how much I dislike this oven. It takes 35 min to preheat to 425 degrees!! 26-28 min to reach 350 degrees. When I use it I have to rotate the baking dish bc it cooks very unevenly. Very frustrating to when roasting meats or baking cookies. Lastly, I have to firmly close the door or I will get an annoying message that says door is open when it clearly is not. Ugh. Very unhappy

Cooks even and temperature is exact. Only reason for the four is because it takes a while to heat up to temperature.

Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND

I am on my third oven in less than a year. The first one would just stop heating and yet would still appear to be on and running. The replacement worked for literally half a day and then would not turn on. The third one is working......but the temperature is consistently 25 to 30 degrees above the set temperature. I wrote two previous reviews that GE wouldn't publish so I don't have high hopes that they will publish this one. Really sad since I based my purchase on the supposed good reviews on this site.

oven rack not level

The oven is fine but there is a pronounced tilt of the oven racks down toward the front of the oven. The first time I used it I opened the door and the casserole started sliding out the door. I put a clear dish with water in the oven and observed that if you tried to bake a cake the batter would not have a level top and I assume neither would the finished cake. We had the oven replaced but the new one was the same. We had to take it out and get a different brand.
