Better than my old GE Monogram

I bought this to replace my old GE Monogram which quit working after 13 years. Upon comparing the 2 ovens I found that this oven has all of the features of my old Monogram and was far less expensive. No need to learn to operate a new oven since the 2 were so similar. Very nice surprise! Way to go, GE!!

Straight forward features

The wiring, and installation into existing space, not too difficult. Initial set up is straight forward. Put to great use during holidays. Touch panel controls easy to use and legible. Cooked up a great Prime rib roast for the family.

ARBITRARY FOUR STARS

Replaced 9 yo GE Profile with this model. Matched up well to similar Profile Microwave immediately above. Bright white LED clock display vs soft green on previous oven. Steam cleaning is of marginal value. Self-Clean feature not used yet. Early demise of previous oven may have been due to Self-Clean feature that heats the oven to about 1000F and may then damage the circuit board at the top of the unit. Not perfect at coming up to desired temp (~20 min.), but holds it much better than previous oven. GE covered the cost of cutting a slightly larger hole in the cabinet. So far, we are quite happy with the purchase.

My new oven!!!

I was desperate, my old oven quit the week before Thanksgiving. GE came to my rescue with a new oven that fit the vacated space, with many new amenities.

We put this in our new kitchen remodel. We chose it because of the slate finish and the features. I had no idea how much we should like it. Compared to another well-known brand we installed last year in our vacation condo in the same price range, it is no contest. This oven is quick to heat, efficient, quiet and cooks very well. If the timer worked, this would be a 5 Star appliance!
