I had a GE wall oven that lasted for 22 years so I decided to replace it with another one almost identical. Hope it will last at least half as long as the first one.

What's UP with this: No oven light switch

To my huge surprise when the new GE wall oven was installed, I noticed
that there was NO light switch button on the panel. WHOEVER heard of
an oven with NO light switch?! I am quite irked that GE cheesed down
the basic oven in this way.

Replacement for 40+ year old GE Oven

I had the GE oven that was installed in my home when I built it 44 years ago. My original oven was still in good working condition but I was remodeling my kitchen and needed a stainless oven. My challenge was to find a 27" oven to fit in modified existing cabinets in a reasonable budget. My new GE oven met my needs.

What. No oven light!

This unit replaced a 23 year old unit, so I'm hopeful that the reliability will be as good. However. Theres no switch to turn on the oven light. It does come on when you open the door, but for baking that's not adaquate.

I have had this oven for a week now and really love it. I love all the different shelf levels and that I do not have to keep the door open when using the broiler. It looks great, too!
