good choice

high quality printing and good performance, with a luxurious design to give your office space a more futuristic look, this product is easy to use and will last, the hp officejet 7000 is the printer to go for when peformance becomes a priority, however its simplicity of design does not make it stand out and one might expect additional features, but for everyday general and high quality prints, this is a good choice.

Borderless ? Borderline

I bought this printer for CAD, primarily for A3 study prints, it has various results with different CAD programms, (Solidworks 2007. prints A3 ok,) (Autocad Lt 2004. portrait and landscape contradict each other on preview and printout.)
(Turbocad V11. and V15. ok.but not on fastdraft setting) but Turbocad V16.and V18. Setup with borderless feature disabled is virtually impossible. with a big issue on screwing up paper, The use of 'Fastdraft' is just a way of ripping up paper on a production speed setting. sadly the print quality is superb,
but I can't use it. I feel that the borderless feature is screwing up this otherwise excellent printer. Windows XP 32 bit

excellent product

This is my second HP A3 office jet printer. The first lasted eight years of almost constant daily use. The 7000 does exactly what it says on the box, the individual colour cartridges keep the cost of printing down. Very pleased with this purchase, especially at the price I paid for the printer.

Good solid construction easy to use.
Fast good A3/A4 quality prints. Network ready.
Does what you would expect a product from HP to do.
Even the initial ink lasted a fair while :-)
Print catridges in general as with all makes should be much cheaper. Would be a great selling point for someone ?

all HP equipment

The Officejet 7000 printer is up with the usual high standards of all HP equipment. I have used HP equipment at work and home for the last 25 years and have always been very happy and satisfied with the service and quality. This product is no different. This product is only used at home so does not get a lot of use as I also have an HP A4 printer c6380 which does most of the work but the 7000 will print the smaller sizes to a high standard when called upon. For A3, I would recommend this printer everytime.

Cartridges not cost effective
on January 20, 2012

The printer looks and functions fine but is not very cost effective. After 20 or so A3 colour prints the cartridges run out of ink which is very annoying and means I print less A3 as I was expecting.
The whole purpose of me purchasing an A3 printer was to reduce time and costs in travelling to local printing shops. Can't help but feel slightly short-changed.

Excellent value and well built

Front paper loading is a dream. Extremely cheap to run if using large capacity black ink cartridge with printer in black only (very acceptable) draft mode. Colour photos very good too but colour cartridges are small so running costs would increase considerably if producing several A3 colour prints. However, feel this is fair taking into account the low initial cost of this well built and easy to use printer. LAN connection makes it very convenient if using with more than one computer. Illuminated status symbols very informative and clear to understand. Installation and setting up extremely quick and simple. Highly recommended.

Great printer for photos

This printer is up to the great HP standards
an A3 photo is something to behold the quality
of print is excellent but, there is always a but,
it wastes a lot of ink before printing as do most printers shame I can't be so glowing about the update software frankly its rubbish.it always cancels itself after downloading, shame as the printer is really good the print quality is better than some much more expensive models.
