Front controls-childproof lock/GreatTurbo boil

My new Front Control slide in stove was definitely the right choice for me. I cannot easily reach the rear of my old stove. My new slide in was the answer: the knobs are easy to use and to my delight, all the electronic features I had before are there: Bake, Broil, time and timer, as well as the 3 second lock control. With 3 grand-children, I need that feature too! Picture me happy at my new GE slide-in stove!

Lightweight materials

This stove is the newest version of a stove we had for 20 years. The old stove was built like a rock. This stove is made of lightweight, ill-fitting materials. Racks in oven don't slide well. Cooling fan annoying and noisy. Plastic used where strong metal was before. Fit and finish poor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fit perfect for us & the cabinets

We had a GE Range which was 30 years old. Needed to replace it due to the lack of availability of a replacement part (can't expect a vendor to make replacement parts for every model forever) . We wanted a basic range with no bells & whistles. It fit perfectly into the space of the GE range that we had (no modifications needed to the cabinetry). I am hopeful that we will get another 30 years out of this range. Love it so far!

Easy to operate--intuitive! Also, has cooling fan for the electronic circuits and up-front controls/knobs.

First glass-top range for me.

The range is as promised. It did require a little adjustment in care procedures, but now that I've adjusted, I really like he range. This was a replacement of a 30-year old GE coil range, which still worked well.
