with our new Epson projector we are watching football and hockey like we are there. this projector has great lighting and looks better then a TV will be mounting it to the ceiling hope it operates as good up there as it has on a stand

The Powerlite Home Cinema 705HD was very easy to set up and provides outstanding HD images second to none. Very dependable. Great value for the price.

I had to return it because it was to replace a Runco
set at 21' from the 10' diagonal screen and the
picture was either too small to fit that screen or
flooded way beyond it at the three possible larger
projection sizes.

I called Epson and they confirmed the problem and
recommend their 8350, 8700, 9500 or 9700. I will buy one of those.

Very Good home and medium business projector. Covered my expectatives, blacks are not too good but depends also in video source, dvd's are not good either with blacks so no big complaints.
smart functions auto keystone, pc connection might be improved. User instructions might be expanded too, not very detailed.

I bought the 705HD primarily for business applications projecting instructional DVDs and class presentations from my laptop. I also use it for personal use like occassionally projecting home theater movies and sporting events (Super bowl, Boxing etc.). After 8 hours of use I am very pleased with this projector. The HDMI setup for both the laptop and my home entertainment system was quick and simple. I spent 5 minutes adjusting the picture quality to my complete satisfaction with the remote. The picture quality on my portable 83" screen is outstanding. The built in speakers are fair but limited in volume and sound quality. I mute the onboard speakers and use my surround sound system for personal use and use external speakers for my laptop presentations. I am very impressed with the automatic picture squaring feature. I set the projector almost two feet below the screen and 9 feet back from the screen for classroom work and use a ceiling mount for home use. The manual zoom and focus are excellent and simple to use. I am very pleased with the performance and value of this unit.

My experience with 705HD Projector

My first experience with the projector was puzzling. I have one lap top with Windows XP and another one with Windows 7 operating system.
I followed the manual but to no avail. Thanks to your friendly and capable tech support everything is now in a working order.
