I have played my old DVD's and couldnt believe the quality on this player. I also played my music CD's and this DVD player and my Samsung TV together gave me the best sound. I have ordered a Bluray DVD and cant wait to see how it looks.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, plays all cd's and dvd's, small in size and fits anywhere you may like, easy operation
I would recommend this to a friend!

The player was such an easy set-up. The quality was what I was looking for and the price for this product was amazing. I will purchase from Samsung again in the future. Great Job Samsung.

We really wanted to compliment our Samsung flatscreen tv so I finally found a bluray with the
Smartv apps like Netflix Hulu ect, I was pretty much new to the smartv world and now I can't seemed to be without my cable bill is no longer applicable lol and I knew I wanted the reliable Samsung product so it's been great can't wait until they bring out more extra apps. features to download on my device

Buggy from the moment it was hooked up, It has given up the ghost entirely.
If you buy you will get the joys of:
Getting kicked out of Hulu & Netflixs.
Often losing sound for no reason
It just not working. And then it does. BUt then it doesn't again.

Samsung DVD player

I compared it directly using a standard DVD movie, 2 copies, and played them together on both the Samsung Blu Ray and a standard DVD player - and the Samsung Blu Ray was much better in quality and sharpness of the image.
Surprisingly, all I need to do is power up the Samsung Plu Ray DVD player, and it turns on my TV at the same time.
Pros: Inexpensive

This player up-converts DVD's Better than most

This has the best up-convert of a DVD to 1080p I've seen. It's better than my last player and I doubt any other player can beat it. It's about as close as possible. It also has plenty of settings for picture, sound and more. And, has an audio connection for my receiver (digital, not optical, which is odd but works just as well). The only thing I don't like is the software version nbr the player gives does not correspond to the version nbr's on the website. It cost a little more than some players, but they can't match it -- it's worth it.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, best 1080p upconvert, audio settings
Cons: software version nbr problem

DVD player works good but no front display. Will not allow for any Apps other than the ones pre installed.
Pros: good dvd player
