I've owned a couple door hanging chin up bars over the past few years (Lost one in a move and wore the other one out), but this one is my favorite...bar none! (No pun intended). For starters, the quality of the bar seems to be fantastic. I screwed everything together, but didn't tighten anything until the end and I ended up fine! The best part of the bar is of course the elevation. Unlike most bars, two of this sets handles are a little bit above the door frame for a full range of motion. I can now also finally do leg raises(the typical door chin up bars are too low for me to get a full hang and still do leg raises). It doesn't hurt that this bar is relatively the same price as the other chin up bars. If you don't have one at all, or need to replace yours, this one is a GREAT choice!

So glad I found the GoFit ELEVATED pull/chin up bar before purchasing the typical ones. All of the other bars looked sturdy and well constructed, but this one is the smartest of all. It is the ONLY bar on its class (no permanent installation required just mounting it on door frame) that provides about 12" more inches in height, which is A BIG DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! User can exercise without bending the knees and/or hitting the floor on every repetition. I also ordered the "pull-up assist" accessory (lilfeline USA revolution) and they work AMAZINGLY well together.VERY easy to assemble -took me 3 minutes. Screwdriver and wrench. Mounts and de-mounts on door frame in 2 seconds. Very well designed, solid construction. Relatively light weight making it easy to put it away when not in use. Comfortable grips. Does not damage the paint nor wood.

My previous doorway chin-up bar was ok but I had to lift my feet. This extra-high reach is definitely better. I stretch my back easily (I'm 5'9") and can do pull ups with my feet hardly touching the floor. It actually seems easier to push my set of pullups when I'm not also distracted by keeping my feet lifted.Constructions seems fine. I only weigh 150 lbs so can't say how strong they are. I had a friend who weighs 250 try to pull himself up and he failed but still put on considerable weight, enough to make things creak and groan but it didn't seem close to failure. (the same could be said for my friend :)

POSITIVES:This pullup bar is exactly what you want if you have a low door frame height, or are taller. The second, elevated bar, adds about 9" of height compared to standard door frame bars. The top bar ends up about 4" higher than the bottom of the door frame.Sturdy enough to handle kipping. I occasionally do kipping pullups and the bar has no problem with this dynamic type of movement, although I'm not as aggressive as I would be on a solid fixed bar.NEGATIVES:This is typical of all inexpensive pullup bars, but the station feels a bit flimsy when assembled and installed. While secure, the bar has a bit of side to side wobble or shake, due to the bolts used, and the construction. I've used this bar multiple times a week for about 6 months, and it is still just as solid as when I bought it. Coming from a single piece construction pullup bar, the bar movement was troubling to me at first. The bars will mark the doorframe slightly when they make contact. In my previous apartment, slight red marks were evident where the bars made contact with the door frame. In my current installation, the black door frame pads have left Quarter sized marks on the door frame that will have to be repainted.----------------6 Month Update:I've used this pullup bar multiple times per week for the past six months. It has held up great despite using it for strict and kipping pullups, and hanging gymnastic rings from the bars. I checked the bolts and they haven't loosened. Based on the performance so far, I expect to get many more years out of this product.----------------12 Month Update:The bar is still working great but I've begun to wear through the left hand foam grip pad. There is a large hole and I am mostly gripping bare metal now. I've used the product for 2-3 workouts per week for 1 year. So far I have been able to rotate the grip around and use the underside but it is only a matter of time until it wears away completely.

Overall, I'm happy but as others have mentioned, the main cross tubes don't fit snug so there is movement when you apply pressure. The two main cross tubes are each made up of two tubes - one goes inside the other and the join is in the middle, secured with a bolt and nut. The inner tube is too small so it moves even when the bolt is tightened to the max. The assembly is easy and the manufacturer was nice enough to include two small wrenches. The wrenches are a bit weak though and will damage by the time you're done tightening (the metal is soft). I used a ratchet to tighten all the way. I would suggest putting some tape between the back pipes - where the top back bar goes over your door frame. The back pipes may rub against the top of your door frame and leave red paint. Put

Easy to setup. I’ve already put this puppy through the ringer in the little time I’ve had it. Lol
Over 2000 pull-ups in a month with a 20lb vest.
Definitely would recommend to anyone trying to get a good workout at home. This is my 4th home pullup bar I’ve owned. Gave away my others over the years as I’ve been in and out of gyms and again out cause of covid19. So had to buy another but definitely the best I’ve owned. I love how it elevates you above the door frame so you won’t have to pick up your feet much. I got the knee raise sleeves afterwards that hook onto the bar and works great as well. Now the only drawback is the foam is soft and will damage your door frame so make sure to fortify the ends ASAP. I used some old knee sleeves and works great. Also the foam grips start to rip too but just buy some goat tape and your good. I imagine the foam grips would hold up better if your not using the bar everyday I like did. Lol

Awesome product - exactly as described. My son wanted something that was portable and easy to use on days when he can't go to the gym and this works perfectly. He can pop it right up over the doorway, do his exercises and put it away quickly and easily. He is also able to use it for some exercises when place on the floor. It was easy to put together following the included instructions. It wipes clean with a damp cloth and the grips aren't too rough on your hands. The places where it sits on the door frame are padded so it doesn't leave any marks or nicks. After using for several months this product is still stable and although the grips are starting to wear through a little it's still in great shape.
