Lamp Life

I very rarely write reviews but I have been driven to by my outrage at the lamp life on this projector. I have owned one for about 18 months now and I am about to buy my third bulb! The first two lasted 600-700 hours when the spec say they should last 4000!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible lamp life but great picture

1094 hours bulb life TOTAL!
It worked well until the end though- noticed it getting dim less than a week before failure of the bulb completely.

Very disappointed bulb lasted only 7 months with limited use. 4000 hours is a joke. Try more like 1000. Picture is good but having to pay 300 for a new bulb 2 times a year is just terrible.

I have had this projector over 2 years now and it has treated me very well!! I did have 2 bulbs go out of me but the customer service in this company has been unmatched and still going! I have a perfect picture of 124 inches at 13 feet away. Indoor lighting does not affect it like I have had in the past projectors. Would highly recommend this product and at the very least this company

Lamp does not last

Lamps do not last near the 4000 hours specified. I got 1580 hrs out of the last genuine Epson lamp before it got very dim and burst. I am now on my 3rd lamp. Open air mount and kept the filter clean. I believe these units are plagued with a design flaw with regards to cooling. Placed the unit in "high altitude" mode in hopes my new lamp lasts longer.

Poor Lamp Life only 900 hours

Very disappointed at the life of the lamp. Epson claims 4,000 hours, but we barely got 900 hours before the lamp died on us.
Color and brightness were great while it lasted, but at only 900 hours I am incredibly disappointed.

The picture quality on this projector is unmatched but the lamp life does not last near as long as it states. 4000hrs not even close

Bad Lamps and power supply. Poor Quality Product

Highly disappointed. Have gone through 2 Lamps very light use (less than 2000 hrs over 3 years). Had to replace the power supply. Will never buy any EPSON product in the future !!
