The belt that makes the front cleaning wheel spin, pops off all the time, I am lucky If I can get through a normal size room before I have to slip it back on. Once the vacuum is hot, then it slips off right a way. I like the sound and weight of this vacuum, but the belt falling off ruins the entire machine

I now own 3 Hoover Wind Tunnel vacuums! I used to have Rainbow vacuums, but I didn't like dealing with the water mess everytime. The Wind Tunnels are so easy to use and empty, and they do a great job picking up dirt and pet hair!

The vacuum worked great for a few months. Then I could not use the hose and tools or a dust would blow out as soon as I detached the hose. I did everything that was recommended to troubleshoot, nothing worked. Then a month later the motor burned put as I was vacuuming normally. Too bad, Hoover was always such a reliable company,

not for bare floors; carpet height doesn't adjust at all

This vacuum is not good on bare floors because the roller keeps spinning and cannot be turned off. You should expect to spray dirt all over your floor if you try it on bare floors. Although it works well on carpet the carpet height adjustment doesn't change at all from the lowest setting to the highest. So having all the different carpet height settings is useless - they are all the same since it won't adjust. This vacuum really should not be marketed as a product that works on bare floors.

Hi MBnDave! Your WindTunnel T-Series should pick up on bare floors, however, for top performance we recommend a Hoover with a brushroll shut-off feature. For best results turn the height adjustment to the lowest setting for use on hard floors surfaces. This model has a 5 level height adjustment. If the handle is reclined and the height adjustment knob is turned you won't see a difference. To see a difference in the height of the nozzle you'll need to put the vacuum back in the upright position. Hope this helps!
