This is a replacement for my old Hoover Wind-Tunnel vacuum cleaner that gave us excellent service for the past 20 years. Hope, this UH70120 will give us similar excellent service for another 20 years. Also, the customer service is really good, prompt and positive.

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago because of Consumer Reports recommendation and I am not disappointed. Light weight almost propels itself much better than my Bissel which was big and bulky and hard to push. Very satisfied with this purchase!!!

Living on a very modest income, I did my research to find a reasonably priced model that would help with my cat's constant shedding and improve the look of the carpet throughout my apartment. I got very lucky because this unit does all and then some! I checked Consumer Reports who gave it a well deserved very high rating, and other media checked agreed. This is more than a best buy. The high ratings were right on all counts, with regard to ease of use, performance, lifting OLD embedded dirt, dust and products used for boosting cleanliness. It's a 10 on my scale! I vacuumed my apartment with my unit the day before I received this unit and that same night assembled (easily) the Maxine and vacuumed again. I could not believe how much dirt was lifted. I had to empty the dirt cup from each room as I went along. It embarrassed me knowing what I was living with - dirt, hair and dust filled the cup to capacity. Pure yuck! Worse, my house cleaner used her Dyson vacuum a week before on the same areas and didn't pick up anything even near what my Hoover picked up! I am truly impressed and am saving my monies to purchase a wet/dry hard floor washer because my introduction to Hoover for quality and cost has proven itself high! Did I mention the great customer service that also sealed the purchase? Another 10 deal! Thank you so much!

My husband and I got this when we got married a little over 7 years ago, and it's still going! We've had to replace a belt after running over something we shouldn't have, butt that was easy enough to do. After we took our Christmas tree out this past season, the vacuum canister had filled up with pine needles and died suddenly like it had been unplugged. We were so bummed when resetting the breaker and emptying the canister didn't solve the issue. Before heading to the store the following day to get a new one, I tried turning it on for the heck of it and it worked! We just had to unclog the pine needles from the hose and it was as good as new! I love being able to wash the filter and the bagless system is amazing! So much better for the environment! I absolutely love the retractable cord! We're so glad this vacuum has kept up with us! My only complaint would be that the attachments seem to fall off often, but it's something I can live with.

I am still searching for the perfect vacuum! So after many years, and vacuums in all price ranges, the Hoover windtunnel rewind vacs have become my go-to vacuum of choice. I can buy these for a reasonable price and if something goes wrong, as it always will in a house with multiple dogs and cats and teens, it is not a financial blow to replace it with another vac with power. Great cleaning power, love the cord rewind and I refuse to buy bags or pay premium prices anymore...all make this the vacuum for me.
