I've owned this vacuum for almost 4 years now and am very happy with it! Sucks great. The only complaint I have is that the cord has become severely frayed in several places-don't know if the coating is too thin perhaps?
Used for the first time yesterday and was very pleased. We are a house of artist, carving, leather work, gourds, etc. The bagless is the way to go, the Wind Tunnel picked up everything, there was no plugged places to cleaned. We also have two wood stoves in the house and we do not insist that guest remove their shoes when entering. The point is I am not cleaning a clean house. It preformed better than I expected it to.
We haven't had the UH70120 for that long, but our first experiences with it were quite satisfying. We were amazed at the suction - the dirt compartment filled up quickly with the fall's accumulation of dust, pollen and carpet fibres. We got the corners with the attachments just fine. I easily cleaned the innards with my shop compressor after emptying the dust bucket. Only thing that is questionable, both my wife and I are sneezing after using the vacuum for an hour or so - I think there is some dust getting out of the machine into the air.
I've had this for 2 years as a backup and have used maybe 20 times and it seems to be extremely noisy. Sounds like I may need a belt already. It also seems to hold a lot of what I pick up in the upper part and around the filter before it will go into the canister. It's also hard to get back on when emptying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Janisum! Sounds like the issue you're having may be simple maintenance issues. Due to the age of the cleaner, we highly recommend replacing the brush roll, belt and primary filter. You can purchase all parts needed here; http://bit.ly/2i0ZJjv. Hope this helps!
