I am very happy with my new vacuum especially for the money. I ordered a new belt and filter as a backup and I am loving it's power for a smaller vacuum. I do not recommend for a home with a lot of carpet and/or a lot of pet hair. This vacuum is a mid-range unit when it comes to size. So it can handle really decent sized areas or rooms. But I don't recommend it as the main vacuum for really large homes.
This got great reviews so I went with it. The cord rewind part broke off after about a year. Now the dust comes out instead of in. I followed all the instructions to clean everything, check the belt, etc and it still doesn't work. When it did work it was fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi oochi! Oh no, that doesn't sound good. We want to help. If your unit isn't suctioning, its usually due to a blockage. Please try this: 1. Remove the hose from both ends. Run a broomstick through to remove any clogs here. 2. Check the lower hose. Use a grabber tool or something similar to remove clogs here. 3. Remove the filter from the lid of the dirt cup. This filter can be rinsed with water and air dried for 24 hours. 4. Remove the HEPA filter. You can tap this filter out to remove any debris or hair. This should get your unit suctioning again. For your rewind feature, you can have one of our service technicians look at it. To find one close to you, please go here: http://hoover.com/locator/. Hope this helps!
My eureka boss is too old. I thought I should try Hoover brand. Light weight, the cord is little bit shorter, and I thought the rewind cord will be a plus. It does not always work, the very first time I used it . I can not rewind it back and end up wrap it around the handle. Second time it wound back just fine. Anyway , the vacuum is good, clean very well. I wish the hose has longer attachment so I can reach farther. Good price.
Recently purchased this vacuum. Does a great job picking up on carpet. Easily pushed back and forth. If its parts don't easily wear out or break, it is the best vacuum we have owned.
The lock and lever that hold the bottom of the vacuum and the large spinning brush in place could be designed better. I was using the hose edge attachment, and the brush came flying out of the bottom.....LOUDLY. I thought it had broken, but found that the lever had worked itself to an open position and ejected the brush.
This vacuum has worked great up to 6 months. After 6 months it started to not suck good. And not it has completely stopped working.

Hi cford1! Under normal use your WindTunnel T-Series should have continuous suction and not shut off. If you're experiencing a loss of suction, this usually indicates a blockage in one of the hoses or the filters need to be cleaned/changed. Here's a short clip on how to check the unit for clogs: bit.ly/1lwruVu.
To ensure the best performance we recommend changing the belt and filters every six - twelve months. If further assistance is needed, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-944-9200 (M-F 8a-6p EST). We're here for you!
Overall OK for the money and maybe alright as a second vacuum. Overall the unit feels flimsy, but vacuumed well. The cord is just not long enough for a large room, though I did like the retractable design. I have a major issue with the beater bar and not being able to turn it off. When using the wand the beater is just spinning away, which I don't like. My hardwood floor guide specifically states to avoid the beater bar when possible. When I went to empty the bin I noticed the other issue. The pet hair becomes lodged and you are forced to pull the dirt, dust and hair out with your hands. Also I don't feel it to be large enough. I finished 3 rooms before it was jammed full. No my house isn't that dirty. I onboard tool storage was nice, however, and they felt firmly in place. Final take: A nice second vacuum or great for apartment dweller with a smaller space, but for a family house maybe keep looking.

Hi! We appreciate your honest thoughts on the WindTunnel T-Series. We have a few tips that should help. The brushes spin at all times on this model. When using on your hard floor surfaces, we suggest raising the height adjustment to the highest level so the brushes are raised off the floor. If you find you have to use your fingers to empty the dirt cup, the dirt cup is too full. On the canister, there's a Max Fill Line. Once the dirt reaches this line, you'll want to empty it. We hope this helps!
