I've had this vacuum for only 3 years, and LOVED it up until now. My belt started coming off, the rewind won't hold anymore so I had to tie a large knot in my cord to keep it out, and my HEPA filter pops out every 15 seconds while running the vacuum. If you are looking for a vacuum to last for several years, this one isn't the one for you.

This worked pretty good when I first bought it and I was super excited! I have barely had this for a year, and I have replaced the belt 4 times! Every time I replace the belt, it seem the suction get less and less, and the noise is louder. I am ready to throw it away at this point! The upholstery attachment stops spinning as soon as it touches any surface...pointless!
I bought this a couple of months ago and it is done already. Waste of money and poor quality. So much for Hoover.

Hi Victap, we want to help but we'll need a little more info on what's going on with your Hoover. We're sending a private email so that we can better assist you. Thanks!
I have had this vacuum for about a year. It worked great at first, although emptying it was a dusty mess. Now I cannot get through half a room before it overheats and shuts itself off. Have replaced the filters, no difference. Tube is clear. It just overheats. Cleaning it is still a dusty, messy job. This will be my last bagless vacuum and probably my last Hoover. Time to return to my previous brand.
Bought this a little over a year ago. At first seemed great on my carpets. The tile floors are a different story. Some items were flying out the back from the brushes. Then after about 9 months the suction slowly deteriorated. I can't even vaccuum anything now. The pet hair attatchment doesn't work at all. Very disappointed!

HI TLittle, I'm sure this can be a pain but it does sound like an easy fix. If you've noticed that the suction has been depleting over time, you potentially could have a blockage somewhere in your airway. This could also be the reason that your turbo tool brush is not spinning since it is air-driven. Here is a video to assist you with the troubleshooting process on that one.
As far as using the machine on non-carpeted surfaces, it is completely possible but you will have to remove the brushroll before use. This simply due to the fact that this particular vacuum does not include a brushroll shut off mechanism, but we can assure your this will be easy to do. No tools required.
Underneath the vacuum you should she two red colored, sliding interlocking tabs that read "lock" and "unlock". Unlock them, remove the bottom plate cover, and pull the brush nad belt out. Once complete, place the bottom plate back on and reset your height adjustmen dial to "bare floor". The unit should pick up beautifully. Thanks so much.
Bought this vacuum 3 days ago and returned it today. Though it did pickup the dirt from the carpets. I didn't like the bagless mess when emptying the canister and the canister was left with dirt/dust residue. I will go to a bagged vacuum as I feel it is much cleaner. Also, the rewind cord got hot (not warm) from being near the motor.
This vacuum was pretty cool at first. Powerful. Groomed carpet well. Concerned about cheap construction. Tool storage awful. Then it broke. Something in the dust/dirt container. Wont seal. Aweful. Plusses ? longer cord than usual, swivels, great suction. Downs ? cheap construction, tools are useless, the machine is heavy for its size.

Hi BradFla, thank you for reviewing the Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Plus Upright Vacuum. We are here to help! Please call Hoover Customer Care at 800-944-9200 for troubleshooting tips and warranty information. Thanks, Hayley - Hoover Team
I bought the WindTunnel T-Series to replace my old Hoover. Although the "rewinding cord" feature is my least favorite feature, I do love the vacuum itself. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver, and it does a great job. After using it for two months, I still really like it. Does a great job on the cat hair and dander in our home.
