Our previous Hoover lasted 5 years and two moves. The new model lasted all but a couple of weeks before needing to be fixed. The belt snapped for whatever reason and while the suction and accessories work, the main purpose of picking up stuff from the floor cannot be fulfilled.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing that the belt breaks easily/often and you cannot purchase it in any stores. Hose/stair accessory no longer works and has little or no suction.

We were pleased with the weight, and the suction of this product, as we have a cat, mostly hardwoods, and one rug we used the product on. After just under a year, the hose would no longer stay down in the hose holder, as it appears the clip keeping the hose in had worn out. As you could imagine, duck tape and every other trick was used, however being able to use the hose, tools, and then revert to a traditional vacuum has proven the product nearly useless. Unfortunate, as we truly liked the vacuum while it worked. (photo added with tape residue used to keep the hose in is obvious) Note in the photo how the 'button' is flat and will not hold the hose in. The button should be slanted to one side which would have kept the hose in the holder.

The most expensive piece of junk

Bought this a week before Thanksgiving and have replaced 4 belts so far. Live in one bedroom with husband and cat. Basic needs for vacuuming and this vacuum cannot even cut it. Cord is okay length but got stuck and sucked into its self and ripped the plastic coating off the cord. Its easy to push around but just is not reliable on cleaning. It has to be cleaned out almost every other time after using. Not a fan of this vacuum, and I am a first time Hoover buyer.

Jessi: You certainly shouldn't have to replace belts that quickly. Your cleaner has a 2-year manufacturer's defect warranty. We'd recommend taking it into a warranty and service dealer to have it looked at.

Don't waste your money. This is the worst vacuum ever! Hoover should be ashamed of themselves for even selling it!! The cord is way too short, it doesn't work on hardwood floors, the power cord release broke the 1st time I used it, and it's messy to empty the container. Seriously, don't even look at this product twice!!

I BOUGHT THIS A YEAR AGO FOR MY SUMMER HOUSE, IT STOPPED WORKING AFTER 5 MONTHS. I DONT EVEN USE IT BUT ONCE A MONTH.
