Breaks way too easy!!!

I loooved this vacuum at first. It has alot of suction and is nice and quiet. After one week of owning it, I ran over my phone charger accidentally and turned the vacuum off immediately but it was already broken. I pulled the charger wire out and restarted the vacuum to find that a little rubber belt was broken inside! I'm not talking about the standard belt, but a very tiny one. Now the brush doesn't turn and since we threw away the receipt, we're [$] in the hole. THIS VACUUM is a waste of money.

Cord Rewind is Bad

Cord rewind has broken twice in less than a year. I would not buy a vacuum that has a cord rewind again. This is a poor design in my opinion. Once the cord rewind breaks, there is no place to put the cord, it just hangs on the vacuum and I have to take it to a service center.

Excellent, would buy again. One issue, less then 2 years, the cord has become frayed at one point. Electrical tape has repaired it. Alos, I am not going to call it a manufacturer flaw but from normal usage Would like to know how to buy a new cord to replace it Although, i dont want to buy a replacement cord if the cord is going to cost close to 20-50% price of buying a new vacuum

This was a total waste of money. It drops dirt back on the floor when powered off, the "bag" doesn't empty cleanly, requiring manual removal of accumulated dirt balls, the cord gets extremely hot near the vacuum, and the cord dispenser in near the floor, allowing the cord to easily get caught up under the vacuum. Extremely disappointed, as we have always used Hoover vacs.

We always recommend pulling the cord all the way out to the yellow tape, as having any less can cause the cord to get warm from the motor which is normal. We also recommend emptying the dirt cup more often, as keeping it full can cause it to create a nest that is hard to remove. Great at first . Now that it is about 1 year old...not so much. The hand held spinning brush stopped working after the 2nd use. Cord does not stay out on own. I have to notch it at handle. Hepa (original & new) filter keeps popping out (had to tape it to stay in) Hose suctions is greatly reduced. No idea why. Nothing in hoses. Took apart because it was making loud noise. I did not throw away my old vaccume which turned out to be a good thing. I use it to clean this vaccume's filter. If I did not do this I would never get the cleaning done. I do have a pet and family on the messy side so vacumme gets used regulary. It still does carpet pretty well. But having to stop and empty vacumme two to threes times per vacumme is frustrating but this is my first bagless so maybe they are all like this.

YNWN, so sorry you've had so much trouble.
Your Hoover came with a two-year warranty for manufacturer's defects. We'd recommend you take it in to a service shop to be looked at. See here for a list of authorized Hoover dealers: http://hoover.com/locator/
worked pretty well but stopped sucking after only 6 mos of using. checked all the troubleshooting suggestions but didn't help. so now have to take it in. what a pain
