Puts the 'chore' in household chores

Pushing this vacuum on a plush carpet is a real chore - I'm sweating profusely after about 10-15 minutes. I'm active, in good shape, 6' and 185lbs man. But I have to lean in and push this thing to get it moving, even though the carpet setting is at the highest level. Result is I dread vacuuming and put it off for months. I need to just get a different vacuum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have owned this product for almost a year and HATE IT!! Ready to throw it away and buy a new one. The belt comes off frequently and it overheats all the time. Can't run it for more than 10 minutes then it shuts off, have to wait 30-45 minutes before restarting it. The cord and motor are getting extremely hot prior to shutting off. It does not pick up at all like it first did and I have cleaned every area I can get to very thouroughly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback! The unit shutting down indicates a clog. In this case, a clog prevents air from getting to the motor to cool it down. The thermo switch will shut the vacuum off to protect the motor from burning out. Check and clean lower base hose, main hose and dirt cup filter; check for a broken belt, and your height setting.

Purchased this vacuum about 6 months ago. Went to use it today and in the middle of vacuuming it shut off and would not turn back on. Primarily it used on hardwood floors and rugs about once a week. No reason this vacuum should not be working. Have not had this issue before. Very frustrated. Save your money.

We appreciate the comments about your vacuum and understand your frustration. The thermo fuse is designed to shut the unit down if air is not getting to the motor, often caused by a clog. Allow the unit 45-60 minutes unplugged to cool down, and then check and clean the hose and filter. Your owner's manual will have troubleshooting tips for your assistance.

I purchased this vacuum because it was recommended by Consumer's Guide. The vacuum has poor suction and the hose does not have any suction at all. I wish I had spent more money on a better product.
