I 've had this vacuum for 6 years and it works great. I thought I would have to buy a new one when this onw shut down and stopped working. I took it apart and cleaned it and now it works great again. I guess it shut down because it was dirty and instead of burning up it shut itself down.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst Vacuum EVER

Very disappointed with this vacuum, especially since it is a Hoover. Like others, I have had this vacuum less than a year and I have had more broken pieces break and snap off, with regular use. The cord is extremely short and the whole vacuum has been poorly designed. Will never purchase another hoover. Hopefully I can make it last a little longer before I have to purchase a new vacuum. I would rather spend the money on a Dyson, next time around. And this was not the cheapest vacuum either.

Turns itself off during use.....

I have owned this product for about a year now. Approximately 6 months ago my vacuum started to get too warm and shut itself off about halfway through my vacuuming (and I have a fairly small home). I don't know for sure that it is because it is getting too warm, I just assume this is the cause. I have tried to clean the filters, and make sure there aren't any clogs in the hose. This continues to happen. It is extremely frustrating to only get half the cleaning done and then have to stop and wait for an hour or more before being able to continue. It does not make me a real satisfied customer....

The hose on the vacuum does not work properly. I called customer service and they said it will always not work properly because it does not have a hard floor switch. When I use the hose air blows out of the vacuum and debris starts flying in the air getting the furniture dirty.

Bought because of price, Hoover name. Have 20+ year old Hoover upright that still works great-made in USA. This vac: very good suction and cleaning but roller belt pops off easily and frequently. The turbo hand tool died after less than a year and customer support and authorized dealer said it wasn't covered by the warranty, so I had to buy a new one and am not pleased. I have 3 cats and pet hair cleaning is top priority. Also, the filter and canister are difficult and messy to empty and have to be washed far more often than advertised. I don't think Hoover makes them like they used to.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate hearing your comments. Check and clean the brush roller end caps for possible jammed debris. If this doesn't work, your problem could be that your height setting is too low. Too low to carpet can cause resistance and may snap the belt. Hopefully this helps!

Very dissapointing that I can't turn off the brush roll while using the hand tools. The outlet of the roll system keeps dumping dust while I tried to clean with the tools. Not recommended

Hello! We are sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing with your bagless upright. Loss of suction in the unit indicates a clog. Check the main hose and filter for a possible clog. The filter may require replacing. Also check that the belt is intact and the brush roller is spinning. Make sure that you you're your height setting on an appropriate level. If it is set too low to the carpet, it can reduce air flow and cause a clog. Thank you!
