Don't you think that a product should last more than a year? Hoover once was the best company for vacuum cleaners. This is the worst product. There is no suction at all, even simple things like grass on a wood floor. I have to go over and over in order to pick up anything. I am not taking it anywhere to be serviced. I hope that you can correct this and DO NOTreplace it with the same vacuum. Correct this issue for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your comments about your vacuum and understand your frustration. Poor suction can indicate a clog, broken belt, or incorrect height setting. Please check the lower base hose, main hose or filter for clogs. Your owner's manual will have troubleshooting assistance. Thank you!
I purchased this a 2 months ago & I let my maid use it to vacuum our house. She has an old Hoover & she really likes ours. Says it a Cadillac of vacuums. Will get herself one later. Could not believe the reasonable price. Checked Consumer Reports first before ordering this Hoover.

Worst vacuum I have ever owned in the past 25 years!!! Terrible suction and hose is way to short. Total waste of money!
I've owned a Filter Queen for years and thought I'd test it against my friend's Dyson. The Dyson won hands down. I didn't want to put out the money for the Dyson, so I went with Consumer Report's #2 pick for bagless uprights: Hoover Windtunnel T-Series Rewind. As soon as the Hoover arrived, I first vacuumed with my Filter Queen then the Dyson. The Hoover pulled up more dirt & hair than both of the other vacs together. I live on a ranch & have a indoor dog. I consider myself a good housekeeper, but didn't realize how my old vac was letting me down. In purchasing this Hoover, I learned "less is more." The cheaper priced vac works better than the expensive brand.
I just got this vacuum today. So I put it together, that was easy. Started cleaning and was amazed how great this machine was. Easy to handle, picks up great and light weight too. Been using a different brand for about 10 yrs. No more! Only wish the cord was about 10 feet longer. Other then that a great machine.
We bought this vacuum over two years ago and it is still going strong! While lightweight and thin, it is effective in picking up so much pet hair (dogs) and cleaning up the carpets so well. You do need to clean it out and occasionally wipe the canister to keep the suction going, but that is with all bagless vacuums. It has the classic Hoover suction power with all the great tools. You'll love it!
This vacuum is great in the start but it seems to eat through the filters. I am ordering more filters and had the vacuum less than two years. I think it would be better to have bought a bagged version since the bag is the filter. When the new filters are installed it is the best but seems they only last 9 months. Very frustration to be spending $30.00 for new filter every two years.
