Terrible quality, stop working less than 10 uses

I bought this vacuum less than 6 month ago to replace my 5 years old Red Devil. Guess what, it stopped working less than 10 uses. I clean out the canister after every use, and rained out the filter every 2 months. It just suddenly stopped in the middle of the vacuuming, the canister was a quarter full, the filter indicator was on green, no clog and the brush turning freely. I even tried on different outlet through the house, totally electric failure. I am so disappointed. Such a poor quality product!!

Hi cannon D! Overheating is caused by a blockage in the air path, or a clog. We want to help. Please take a look at this quick video here: http://bit.ly/1jvx3tW. Complete these steps and your T-Series should be running like new. Let us know if you still need us!

This is the worst vacuum I have purchased. I have owned less expensive ones that picked up lint from my carpet. I wanted a retractable cord, I should have just continued to hand wind. Very disappointed

Well this is my second Hoover, my first died a few months back and replaced it with a newer model.  It has a great deal more suction then the old one, picked up stuff i woudl have had issues with the old one, or even the super high end Kirby my grandmother bouth 15 years ago.  I will say there are a coupel things that i did notice, and maybe because of the increased suction? 1) it heats up fast, motor, cord and cleaning heads... 2) the belt has slipped off a couple times, but at least you do not have to unscrew the gaurd and just click it off and put the belt back on  3) it has over heated once... but i found a huge clog in the hose(dogs that shed too much cause issues).  I have had no issues since the clog was removed and woudl recommend this product to any one, just be weary of the over heating and pet hair issue.

Wheel broke off the first time I used the vacuum!

I'm sure that the actual vacuum works fine, but the wheel broke off the first time I used it. I can't get the wheel to stay on well, because the plastic molded part that it attaches to, is cracked and can't be fixed! I wrote to Hoover to find out what my options are, but have not heard back from them after a week!

Great vacuum!

I bought this vacuum about 6 years ago, and it has been great! It has good suction, lots of features. I like the ability to go from carpet to floor with just a step on lever. It is easy to empty and the filter is washable so there's not a lot of extra expense to maintain it.

Did not go the distance

I bought this model 3.5 years ago, hoping it would induce me to vacuum more often. Well, it seemed great for a while. I only had s couple big rugs, no major burden, and I rarely put it to use as it is. But it still didn't last. The mini attachment worked great on the stairs. But, I soon grew disappointed with everything but the rewind. First, the handy attachment I'd envisioned cleaning stairs and sofa with got no suction. I cleaned the entire unit and the filter: no improvement. Then, the filter rubber tore while cleaning it. No one sells a replacement, so I had to glue it. That worked well until a couple months ago when a high-pitched, gut-churning scream started emanating from the thing every time I switched it on. I special ordered a new filter, thinking this was the problem. It wasn't. Turns out, the motor was going bad already: a $100 fix. It's basically trash now.

Hi Edowd,
We want to help. We're sorry ordering a new filter did not improve your performance. We want to see if we can help, so we're sending an email now.
As for your Turbo Tool attachment, it works best when held at a 45 degree angle, because it is air driven. Holding it flush to the carpet or couch will not allow for air to rush through and spin it. Thanks!

Goes downhill fast - DO NOT BUY!!

Owned a different brand for about 20 years and it worked great throughout that time. Bought this Hoover because the old one was starting to lose a lot of its suction power. This one was great at first - the suction is very good and the carpet looks and feels very clean after using it. The small roller attachment was great at first as well, making stair cleaning relatively easy the first couple times using it. However, this vacuum has quickly detioriated. The roller attachment stopped working after just a couple uses (roller doesn't roll and it doesn't suck up anything). Checked for clogs and there are none - it just simply doesn't work. The canister is very messy to empty, but I suppose that's what you get with a bagless. Can't fault the vacuum for that as I am the one who picked a bagless one. I won't ever do that again, though; bags are so much cleaner! The biggest problem is that the past couple times I've been using it, the vacuum will just suddenly shut off and won't turn back on. It seems like the motor is overheating becuase if I leave it alone for an hour, it'll turn back on. The canister isn't even close to full, and as I said, there are no blockages anywhere. The vacuum is just simply a piece of junk that isn't worth even half the price I paid. This is the first Hoover I've owned and thought I was buying the best name in the industry, but I won't ever buy or recommend another Hoover after this.

We are sorry to hear about your issues regarding your bag-less vacuum and want to help. The thermo fuse will shut the unit off if air is not getting to the motor to cool it down. This is caused by a clog. Allow the unit 45-60 minutes unplugged to cool down and then check and clean hose, wand and filter. Check the owner's manual for cleaning instructions regarding your turbo tool. The air flow from the hose allows the turbo tool to perform. If this does not work or if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to call into our Customer Care Department for assistance troubleshooting. 1.800.944.9200 Mon-Fri 8am-7pm EST.
