I ordered the vacuum about a month ago when I received the vacuum the rear wheel was broken and the canister was cracked. It works good, but the wheels pops when you push it. I have emailed hoover, and also called and left a call back number. I have yet to receive any response! I like the vacuum, but apparently the customer service is not of the same quality. I am disappointed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I thought at first, this was a great vacuum. With the history of Hoover. I've had it just over a year and it's plagued with problems, with the belt being the biggest hassle and inconveience. The belt pops off way too easily. The small head attachment rarely works, and when it does it's for a second. For only having the machine just about a year, I am truly disappointed in the product and would not recommend this to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback! A few troubleshooting tips: Check the brush roller end caps for possible jammed debris. It may require cleaning or replacing. Also, please check your height setting. Too low to the carpet can cause resistance, which can pull the belt off or snap it. For the tool, check that the brush is not jammed. The tool works off the air flow of the main hose, so make sure the hose/filter is not clogged. Your owner's manual will have further tips, or please call in to our Customer Care Department at 1-800-944-9200, 8am - 7pm, M-F EST for assistance. Short cord & hose

Suction seems to be great. Value was good. Very dissappointed on the short cord, claims to be 27', I measured it is only 15' 5". Hose is very short too. Says it is an 8' hose when I measured it, it was only 4'2". I have a very large family room that I have to plug the vacuum in 3 different places to reach the entire room. The hose will not reach long enough to get the place I could reach with my old vacuum. I may keep this for my camping trailer, as the cord & hose are extremely short. I was suprised and disappointed with these two things. Wish I would have known.

Vacuuming is the only chore that I don't hate. I have had a Dyson for ten years. A small plastic piece broke off and that was that. It was over $500 new. After doing a lot of research, I ordered this Hoover. It came in three pieces and although I am all thumbs, 65 and weak, I had no trouble putting it together. I've had it for a month and vacuum every day. So far I love it. It is far lighter and more maneuverable than the Dyson. One terrific improvement is that I canoe from hardwood to three different rug types without adjusting anything. And even better...the suction got all of the dirt without sucking up the rug! And best of all.., the retractable chord. I'd give it a 5 star rating but since I've only had it a month, I'm not sure how it will hold up over time. Great buy at 20% the cost and even better than the Dyson I ordered the

This vacuum is great! For those with a room or two of carpet this is an affordable option that has the excellent sucking power. I have one cat and it is amazing how much cat hair, dirt, and debris gets picked up by this vacuum each week. I love the super easy to rewind power cord. I had this vacuum for three months and no problems. Works like a charm.

Thought from the Hoover's we had in the past that the quality was still there. Evidently not. Had it for less than a year, shuts off after 15-20 minutes of usage and have to wait 30 minutes for it to cool down before it will run again. Not very good pick-up of pet hair either.
