Nifty Application

I bought the Epson WorkForce 1100 Wide Format Printer for one application, to print a corporate logo and return address and customer address on large 9" x 12" envelopes. I like the straight feed through path. I defined the layout in Word 2007 as being 9" x 14" as I open the self sealing flap. The application works. I save about 10 cents on each envelope by eliminating the large label and the envelop looks professional with the company logo and the customer address printed in 20 point font.

Epson has done it again! After owning several super Epson photo and stylus printers in the past, This is the one! FAST! Superb double-sided printing for catalogs and brochures even on plain paper. QUIET! Large Format! Two Black Ink cartridges for printing books worth of text... and did I mention this thing is fast with excellent print quality! INCREDIBLE VALUE! Epson fixed all my quirks too! Easy slide out paper tray, It closes and stays that way with magnets... COOL! Nice paper width adjustment lever on rear feed and it closes as well. It is large so make sure you have the space but, honestly, it's worth it! Recap: Fast, Quiet, Large Format, Double-Sided Printing, Two Blacks for lots of text, closing paper feed and output tray, ATTRACTIVE design and CHEAP for this type of quality. This printer has exceeded my expectations 10 fold. Good Job Epson!

Workforce 1100 review

This printer came to my house super fast after I placed the order. The printer came and I had to print out my whole portfolio for my finals in school. The prints came out amazing, the print is super fast with normal paper, but thicker paper takes a lot long esp on high quality settings which is expected. Overall this printer is definitely worth the investment, it will pay for itself eventually.

The Workforce 1100 is a suitable replacement for my worn out Stylus color 1520. Along with costing much less than my old printer, it prints faster while being quieter and delivering better quality. The only thing I miss is the old printer was capable of using pin-fed paper so would never jam. Not that the new printer has ever jammed.
Ink use / cost is a bit high but pretty much all ink jets do this.

Best Price for Wide Format Printer

I did a lot of research before buying this printer and I found this one to be the best one for the price. I was looking for a printer that would print my 12X12 scrapbooking pages and I was really concern how much it was going to cost me for ink. I found a kit on ebay that uses permanent Ink cartridges that you refill and your able to use them over and over again. I found that refilling the cartridges myself makes it really cheap to print with Epson. The quality of the pictures are really good and the speed in which it prints is pretty fast. The only thing I do not like about this printer is that it takes so long to start printing when you first turn it on. It takes literally 2 to 3 minutes to warm up and start printing. Other than that it was well worth the price.

High quality prints

I've been through a number of C88+ printers. Primary use is for business - printing note cards, heat transfers, and canvas prints and bookmarks. PROS - The 1100 is incredibly quiet and the print quality is superior to the C88. Heat transfers are more vibrant and results are beautiful. CONS - HOWEVER the 1100 will not handle the canvas that worked with the C88. And it will sometimes misfeed the 80# cardstock that was never a problem for the C88. It grabs several sheets at once, but at least it doesn't jam. And it goes through ink cartridges faster than the C88 did. The so called "High Capacity" cartridges are larger than the standard capacity 1100 cartridges, but are actually smaller than the standard C88 cartridges. And they cost almost twice as much.
