Resonably priced for a wide format printer

Overall the printer is very good. I would like to see some kind of attachment for banner roll paper. Print quality is good. Very resonably priced for a wide format printer. Would recommend to the customer who is looking for an inexpensive wide format printer.

Workforce 1100

I purchased the Workforce 1100 because I always wanted a wide print printer. After printing one page the paper light started flashing and I received a paper jam message, but there was nothing jammed in the printer. After several tries I changed the print setting and while the print quality is very good, the printer itself is soooo slow. It took over two hours to print 80 copies. That's a big waste of time.

Horrible Color Quality

I was not exactly expecting photo quality prints, but this printer jams on every page, and prints horrible quality color. I regret buying this printer, and I wish that I could return it. It will most likely end up in the trash container.

worst printer I have ever used
on February 24, 2012

This is the worst printer I have ever used. When printing multiple pages I have to watch it because the way it ejects the pages after printing is not uniform, causing the paper to actually go under the page previously printed and even push the stack of printed pages off of the holder. I have left my office as the printer is printing and have returned to find my printed pages scattered all over the floor. It also is calls out paper jams when there are no paper jams.

Why Didn't I Do This Sooner?

Fed up with a continuing pattern of mis-fed paper and paper jams, usually at exactly the most inopportune time, in three back-to-back HP Deskjet 6900 series printers I've had (the most recent a 6988), I switched on a whim four days ago, and without much research I'm reluctant to admit, to Epson's WorkForce 1100 wide-format printer, purchased off-the-shelf at Office Depot. So far, knock on wood, it's performing flawlessly...and I have a feeling I'm going to absolutely love it.
The 1100 is well packed and was a breeze to set up - far quicker than HP - and configure. The documentation is lucid and to the point, and the CD software installed quite quickly and effortlessly, not exactly what I've experienced with HP setups of late.
The unit is made of seriously-reinforced and far-sturdier plastic - no flimsiness - than I've seen in competing brands and it sounds like it means business, as in far better, actually, than just for casual home use...and exactly what any small to mid-size business (like mine) would want and needs.
I've put it through its paces this week, running numerous sets of sheet-intensive Forms W-2 and Forms 1099, some spanning 250 to 300 sheets per run. Not one jam or miscue along the way, which is all a guy could ask for, right?
The registration process and online support and features at Epson look a step above too. It's a welcome relief from ...before. What can I say? And excellent print quantity to boot, with so-simple-to-install cartridges.
This work-horse WorkForce gets a 10+ on my pleasure meter so far. What w-a-s I thinking before, when I didn't get on board with Epson? (And no, I'm not on their payroll and I don't know a single person at Epson.)
Happy customer!

Good Value and Performance

This printer does, in general, deliver on its promises. Print quality is very good. My only reservation is that, when using greeting card stock, the paper pick up roller requires frequent cleaning - well above the norm.
