I just installed my Epson Workforce 1100 this morning and had no problem with the hardware installation (unusual for me). I installed the printer driver easily, but then had difficulty with the additional software because of a condition set up in my anti-virus software. I finally figured it out, thanks to the troubleshooting instructions that told me that might be the case. I bought the wide-format printer because I'm an artist and like to make copies of my larger than 8 1/2 by 11" artwork. The Epson ink, along with archival paper, assure long-lasting giclees. I know that Epson promotes the Stylus for photos and prints, but I looked at it from the ink perspective and preferred to have 5 ink cartridges rather than 6 because of the cost. I have printed two giclees which look fabulous (equally as good as my previous Stylus C120 copies. If you have room for this big footprint and tall paper guides printer, I would recommend it. I got it on sale and think it was a bargain.

Love My New Epson Workforce1100

I have had my Workforce 1100 for about a week now, and have been using it almost non-stop. The print quality is exceptional and the speed is much faster than the older style Epson inkjets. It's almost like using a laserjet.

I have owned the Epson 2200 for about 7 years and it does and excellent job, however it is pretty slow and very expensive for the inks. I thought I would give the 1100 a try because I needed a large format printer. I found it was an excellent value for the money. It is reasonably priced and will print beautifully on canvas. It doesn't have the quality I am used to with the 2200, but I can turn out some great pictures with vivid color. I did find that the black tends to be too dark sometimes in the pic, but still puts out a nice print. It is twice as fast as the old printer, 1/3 of the cost and still does a great job. You can't go wrong with an epson.

Quick and quiet. Easy set up, small footprint compared to wide format printers. Low volume user. Only improvement I would like to see is a bottom feed paper tray.

Great printer. I have from that family models 30, 40 and just got 1100 - wish it will print faster but hey so far no jamming and great quality of output even on card-stock!

I finally found a printer from Epson that will print my flyers with speed...I am so very happy and pleased...The copies are sharp and clear...The color copies are great...Thank you for making such a great copier...This my 4th one from Epson and this one is great.
