The Epson Workforce 1100 has provided versatility, clarity and with reliability through numerous prints and sizes, from posters to photos. I love it. Of all the printers in the past, WorkForce 1100 is the best

Short life span

The printer itself is great...if you don't plan to keep it long or use it much. We have had it now for 1.5 years, and use it steady...it's a workforce right??
Today, we get a message stating the ink pads have neared the end of their service life. Now Epson suggests replacing the printer. Hardly what I would call a "work" machine.
Won't be buying another epson.

Epson Workforce 1100

I just completed one printing of a 40 page 12 x 12 scrapbook. It came out superb. The colors have matched up very well. The picture quality looks original, and it is a product I am proud to share with my family (I am printing one book for each of my 10 siblings.) The printer was affordable and I have already gotten my money's worth.

Just what I needed

I read someone else's recommendation and bought this printer based on their rave reviews. I couldn't be happier. As large as it is, and it is big, it's still light and easy to accommodate. So far, it feeds every kind of paper I've stuck into it, including 3-ply bristol board, without complaint or the slightest hiccup. I haven't tried the coated papers, yet, but I expect that the colors will be phenomenal when I do.
I bought this to assist with my comic book type work and have used it in a cover design, already, printing the lettering and the rough layout right onto the board. What a time-saver!
For the technical stuff, it was super-easy to set up, not requiring half the effort of my other printers to get the ink loaded, etc.
And the price...wow. You might be able to find a better printer, but for this price, I can't imagine how.

Am a retail district manager with photography as a side hobby. In a previous career, worked with an office supply retail chain and used to have guests rave about Epson products; "great for archival, waterproof, prints straight" etc. Previously used the competitor and currently have an all in one, a laser, an inkjet, by that competitor along with the first time newcomer Epson 1100. The 1100 is by far the best printer purchased for the money. It's text rivals the laser and it tracks straight compared to the rival inkjet. Am grateful for the reviews on this site that helped in making my decision. The Epson Workforce 1100 has provided versatility, clarity and reliability through numerous prints and sizes, from posters to photos. Highly recommend for the office pro and the photo amateur.

worst most frustrating device ever

Like some others have said, using this printer has been an enormous chore from the beginning. EVERY time I need to print something it needs a head cleaning then an alignment. Half the time the paper fails to feed right. It is going in the garbage.

Epson Workforce 1100 well worth the wait

The first Epson Printer I used was a dot matrix, more than twenty years ago. The 1100 is the fifth Epson printer that I have personally owned, and there are four at work. I am pleased with the performance, the value, and how well they last. My co-workers are glad that I talked them into going to Epson from the brand they were using before. I know now other manufacturers are talking about how you save money by only replacing the color that you need, but that has been an Epson feature for many years. The Epson ink dries fast, and I still have pictures that I printed years ago, and not surprising to me at all I have a few flyers and pamphlets that I printed on the old dot matrix well over twenty years ago. Workforce 1100 enables the printing of large pictures, as well as documents, such as large spreadsheets. Epson produces great printers, and the Workforce 1100 lives up to the family name.

Good Machine

I have a workforce 30 and a Stylus Pro 7800
and love them both. The 1100 is a serious
machine and I am looking forward to years of
good use. I just got the 1100 and am impressed about everything about it. The color is vivid and the text speeds are good. I have been buying
Epson printers since 1978 and have no intentions
of changing anything now. Get you a 1100, you
will be glad you did. I gurantee.
