I have had both this size and the next smaller rolling duffel and have used them extensively in international travel. I pack items I use less frequently in the bottom (eg raingear, first aid kit & non-essential medications, spare pairs of glasses, etc) and the items I use on a daily basis in the top portion. The wheels have held up well with my heavy packing. And the organizations I travel with prefer soft-sided luggage for packing in travel vans.
